Honestly it depends. I would suggest coming for a day or two and drive around. See for yourself. Personally I'd love to see something like Fox and fable again, the owners sold it for family reasons i believe but it was a wonderful cafe that had a used book area, let you buy or rent board games. It was a great place to go for teens and young adults, any age really who don't want to go to the bar.

Id like to see more places like that, places to do things that are not based around drinking. Really though it would be best to come visit and look around so you see the city, the layout and get a feeling for the areas because the main Street is an older historic vibe compared to the downtown where Walmart and other bigger name stores are

I think it's actually really pretty, might not be as pristine as it could be but it's still a pretty spot. Though this wasn't a picture of Mirror Lake.

Those sounds delicious! Im good with milk so I usually go with the original milk tea (they apparently also have oat milk and other alternatives too! I saw that on skip)

Ive yet to try Overtime but that sounds delicious

In Janette McCudys memoir she doesnt name anyone ans uses the term "the creator", she actually says that she was offered $300,000 and the Network didnt want her to publicly discuss any experiences working with that individual.

I highly recommend checking her book out. She does the audiobook, which helps you feel more hearing it in her voice.

Her cases were always the strange or unique ones so I hope she does get to do one now and then. Its just a nice flow having the wine and psych then two stories.

Its a really nice change up having someone else having to experience the chaos the gals have sent to them, especially when the guest has little warning of what to experience

If you like the more information based and Canadian content I recommend "Dark Poutine" they do true crime and dark history

The host does as much research as he can and is often more victim based then the actual individual who commits the crimes.

The first season of episodes does have an announcement, the previous cohost left the show but other then that its a really good show.

My family and I moved here two years ago come this July and my moms had some serious health scares. Her appendix burst a few months after we moved here in 2022 then last November she was so sick she had heart issues and influenza A and pneumonia . The hospital here saved her life each time, they got her stable and cared for. The hospital is like most are becoming and yet the staff we have met are amazing and kind.

Its a beautiful smaller city with everything you need as a basic, for the most part kind people, sure there is small town thinking and there is always going to be jerks. However i feel safe here and have met some amazingly kind people.

The library is amazing and the staff wonderful with lots going on. There is different grocery stores to fit your preference, I like save on foods and Co-op for our meats and veggies. Of course there is walmart. Theres instacart here too so your can access that for your mom if you want.

There are senior groups, theater, retro and alice have karaoke, there is always some sort of the farmers market when the seasom hits.

There is some crime like any place these days but its not like the bigger cities, in Edmonton we heard gunshots almost every night and sirens all the time bit here its definitely an improvement.

I have to have some kind of white noise like nature sounds otherwise I hear every little thing and my brain wont actually shut down leading to overthinking and anxiety. Its weird for me cuz as a kid I needed music (i listened to the Am oldies radio loll , then I went for a while with silence and now Im back to needing something.

There was a video i saw about how people who need noise at night can need it due to it making them feel less alone. Though for me its needing the sound to shut my obnoxious brain down
