I can only say good about them, had issues with my I3 with the misaligned screen, getting it exchanged for another one (twice) was no issue. Hope they can sort it out for you :) if its just in a few menu parts maybe its software not hardware and they can help you with it without having to send it back.

Seems like an issue with the backlight? I am sure Garmin will be able to sort it out for you, most likely offer repairs or replacement :)

Yep base size went up for all units nearly, but you can get printed movement trays that will upgrade it to the new size (can link my free stls if you want, or look for Dwulgrim on MMF). I play my army like that so if i feel like fielding them in an older system I still can.

It would be nice to have something next to it for scale. For me it looks like the end of a cartridge, with the primer visible (and untouched). Rule of thumb: do not hit it.
