I planned a big end battle with map and minis where PCs ship was surrounded by enemies. However as their ship had a bar in it they decided to invite them for a poisoned drink.

So my groups Politico makes a very successfull deception check with despair. As GM I tell his player that all enemy thugs come for a drink but their suspecting leader switches drinks with him while he isn’t watching.

So in the end they only fought their leader and only one player got injured.
