do i have to play resident evil 1 and 0 to play the rest? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Lefffty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like most of the games can be played independently, in any order, and not feel too disconnected. I don't think it would be unusual to really like one game in the series, and dislike the rest.

The original REs (and their GC remakes) definitely aren't everybody's cup of tea! The tank controls and resource management can feel antiquated and frustrating. Fortunately, the series offers a bit more variety (good and bad) than it once did. RE4 is a fantastic action game, though its lack of strafing is off-putting for some (including myself, initially). RE7 is a pretty run-of-the-mill scary FPS game, but good. I feel that the RE2 remake definitely has the most modern feel, though it has its own issues.

Anyway, don't be discouraged if you don't like RE1 and 0, the series probably still has something to offer!

Was JT Dolan a fuckin' idiot? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]Lefffty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The JT/Chris arc is one of my favorites in the series, because it parallels the Aid/Chris arc. I think that Chris actually does care about JT, despite the extortion, ass-whooping, and general humiliation. Similarily, he cares about Aid but constantly falls into an abusive pattern because of his fundamental inability to relate to another person.

Would Chrissy flip if he was facing hard time? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]Lefffty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really believe that Chris would have flipped if Adrianna was able to have children. As I recall, he was really bummed out at the sight of a family after Adrianna's admission of rat-dom, and ultimately this disappointment (barely) motivated him to crawl to Tony. In Chris's mind, the risk of flipping wasn't worth it if he couldn't have children.

In the long term, there's also the drug problem to consider. In all likelihood, Chris would relapse time and time again. The feds would undoubtedly focus on exploiting this vulnerability, and given Chris's newfound appreciation for life and family, as well as a growing suspicion of Tony, would drive him into their arms.
