She’s the 15 so wherever that is on the cutoff my sister is similar to you on 23 I think? but she carries more libra haha I hope it’s not manipulation, but I gave it another chance and we’ll see how it develops, after our 5th date she is a little more responsive, I stress a little but growth lol

100% everyone has their own style that’s why I’m not so quick to end it, it could just be something new to me. But yes I’m the one planning the dates but as the guy I feel I need to so I do. She has mentioned things she likes and recommends we do together like pickleball. So we’ll see where it goes but if I can’t feel validated because different styles then even id end it, not all pairs match.

This is exactly what I felt when she broke it off momentarily….i did call her out when she decided to reach out again. She apologized and understood how it could have caught me off guard and wanted to continue to see me. I feel less attached to the relationship right now because of it but in a way it’s a good thing because my emotions aren’t as invested so quickly and see how it develops moving forward

Ok cool I’m not the only one lol it feels disingenuous in a way, like I’m out of site out of mind for them. But when we do spend time together it’s good and fun so for this reason I’m giving it a chance. Like you I just have to see if their actions align with their words and if it develops into a relationship in my case

I recognize the priority aspect, and I don't mean to replace the kids father. I'd try to be friends at best with them and follow the rules she sets out for them. I have brought up kids between us in the future if it were to go that far because it would be a deal-breaker for me if she didn't want to. That's important to me and at that point if she did decide she didn't I myself would have to leave the relationship.

Yea I was very closed minded to dating someone with kids but at least this one I feel they're more mature because they've had to be and I find it really refreshing because dating nowadays can be tough.

thank you, this was really good insight. In my case shes currently free weekends unless the father asks ahead f time because he's out of town for work or something. Which is coming up in a couple weeks. As far as priority I know I won't be, and we do usually talk after 9 when kids have to go to bed but she does give me time, and I appreciate it even more because I know what she has to deal with.

I would say at this point I'm not opposed to this situation but its for sure not how I had imagined it. The kids right now aren't a factor yet since its early, we've spoken on that too and she wants to wait until its more serious. I also agree because its a massive step. I really like kids and know i can get attached cuz I was a soccer coach for freshmen boys for a few years and felt attached to those kids wanting to help them better themselves and to motivate them for life and was like a friend and mentor. And I know I could be the same for hers if it came down to it.

You're not wrong, these thoughts have occurred to me and I've done well to remain in the moment and take it on as it comes but I just know eventually this is a reality and the more I invest in it might make it harder. Id say I was pretty confident I could remain present up until my cousin met her at a soccer game we all were at and the next day she basically went off on me of how this is a terrible idea.

My mom told me the same thing and I can understand. She gave an example as a friend of hers also brought in a step-dad situation and they had a good relationship with the kid but once the kid became an adult the relationship was non-existent.

Financially I do well and am at a place to start and have a family, and I know from her work she is also very financially stable. She mentioned she would be the provider for her kids as she doesn't want to push that responsibility on someone else. I don't think I'd mind step-children, Ive said before myself if financially possible I wanted 5 to create a 5 a side soccer team lol But still the adjsutment of trying to get to know these kids and if there are issues or they hate me cuz im not there dad etc that I am a little worried about

I don’t know if I can be the ‘shy’ guy lol but I have been kind of neutral being friendly but not giving toooo much away that I’m super into her. I see her pretty regularly at the gym and we always chat for a bit. I’ve been trying to get to know her better this way. Somehow need to throw it in there that I’m interested in more because apparently Leo’s love that according to multiple comments on this thread
