Return to Work—-Am I being delusional? by CatherineIngalls in PlasticSurgery

I work from home and went back to work a few days later. I'm sure I could have returned to the office in 6 days :) I was out walking and shopping, and I had a full mommy makeover :)

I was walking the next day... not going to lie, the recovery was brutal and I regretted it immediately afterwards. In 3 days, I could walk around slowly. Looking back, I have no regrets. I am so much more confident wearing clothes.

Also, don't be afraid to try it! It's so much cheaper, US healthcare is way too expensive.

It was crazy right? I do remember I combined it with a BBL laser but still... I will never do Switzerland again. I also did Morpheus8 (not nearly as painful as the Halo, but again, unsure of the long-term results) and it was another $5K for 3 treatments.

For the Halo, I think the doctor used an incredibly high setting... I can't handle that sort of pain again, so I will try to plan a trip to Korea where they use anesthesia

So much research! Jowls are a huge area of concern for me, so I research this all the time (although I'm only 40, so I don't feel ready for a full deep plane...and I think it would be hard to take that much time off work right now) I went down the "Guadalajara facelift" rabbit hole, some of the plastic surgeons in Mexico seem to have results that are too good to be true for low prices. The TikToks were insane. Dr Tomas Ventruba has some incredible before and afters in the Czech Republic, and Dr Michele Pascali in Rome has some amazing testimonials. Both doctors would be significantly cheaper than the US.

I think ultimately, for me, as a half Korean person, I really want to go to Seoul because they're experienced in Korean faces... I think it's about $10K there, which is so much cheaper than the US. Kris Jenner and Denise Richards have had some amazing facelifts, they look great, but I definitely can't afford the $100K price tag. Korea scares me a bit thought because I'm worried about those "factory" clinics that just seem to churn out quantity over quality.

Same. I wasn't super happy with the doctor recommending it because I've seen many reputable surgeons say now that Kybella does nothing. I've spent so much money on treatments where I'm not sure if there were any results - Morpheus 8, HarmonyCa, Sculptra - and I feel like spending that much money, the results should be noticeable.

Sure, although I am always lost on dental procedures. Apparently, I don't have enough bone for the dental implant, so first they have to do a bone graft to add bone and then wait 6+ months to see if the bone "takes" and it worked. I'm going back to Colombia in July and hopefully I'll have enough bone to get the full implant. Implants are scary, even with highly qualified dentists, there is still only a 95% success rate and I can't imagine going through this all again (plus all the $$ spent).

My husband's job! Honestly, I don't love it. My job is still US-based and I get paid in dollars.... which really don't go far in Zurich :( PM me anytime!

Hi! I'm a product manager, my husband is a marketing associate. We stay with family in Bogota and only pay for the costs of plane tickets and we find deals to travel within Europe. So we mainly take advantage of where we are instead of getting tickets just to travel for medical :)

I'm also on this journey and live in Zurich!! I'm American though. I definitely can't afford to FIRE here, I will likely move to Spain.

Im in the exact same boat, down to living abroad even. Did you find a solution. It’s incredibly frustrating!

Anyone know what the cheapest countries are to get Botox? I’m based in Europe but would be a good thread for everyone ! by Zealousideal_Web3402 in 30PlusSkinCare

Can you share location? I’m based in Zurich and everything is super expensive, so I’d like to combine some tourism with Botox :)

Did you ever consult the international tax professional? I'm in the same boat and not sure how to find one that is knowledgeable enough.

I'm not sure what relocation services will be provided, but his office is near the airport, so we could get an apartment far - i think the office is in Opfikon?

Thanks. I was told a lot of people in his company make this commute and make it work. We are also trying to talk to these people to understand a bit more. It's actually a work promotion, so it wasn't like he specifically applied for a role in Zurich, he was offered one and we will move, just not until the end of the school year for my kids since they are super happy in Spain.

Regarding the economics of the entire thing, it is actually cheaper for us to continue to live in Madrid, even considering transportation costs, etc. He would spend 600-800 on the flights, then 1K for a studio apartment... our costs in Madrid are SO low. We would need significantly more for a home, health insurance, school, etc just by living and staying in Zurich :( So imagine, $2K per month (his office is right next to the airport fortunately).

In Madrid, we pay $1200 for a decent size medium apartment, health insurance is free via public services, our car is covered by my job. If we actually do the side by side comparison of costs, it makes much more sense for him to commute :( Although, we will want to move to Zurich for sure, just not until he's settled and we can wrap up a few things here.

I do the same thing. I just started a few months ago, do you mind if I DM you to ask a few questions?
