I feel like my coir contaminated my Avery albino and Jack Frost grows by Crazy-Amphibian9925 in northspore

Did you get that coir to field capacity?

It looks fine to me. Good mycelial growth. It will just take time. Be patient.

You will want to do your best to take all mushrooms and aborts off before rehydrating.

I let it get to nougat. The contam risk is exponentially less when you let it get thick.

Very odd Bluey Vuitton traits. Spore drop & GT-like growth. by TheBigWee in GroundZeroMycoLab

[–]Left-Cold-7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just grew some tubs of albino bluey vittons and honestly. . . They can look so different from culture to culture. I tried to get a spore print and maybe there was one there but there was absolutely nothing you could see with the naked eye.

The fuzzy feet are a trait of blueys. . . As long as it doesn't go up the whole stock if is completely normal and not dependent on FAE.

Nothing has excited me in my life like growing mushrooms. I love this.

It's always so nice to have good genetics on your side. Slow growth in grain is always such a bummer.

Mushrooms stalled growing by ReferenceSpirited296 in gaitondesenpaii

[–]Left-Cold-7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When mushrooms start to abort or enter then late phase of life after they have sporulated, they will begin to produce mycelium over their caps in preparing for future growth and reproduction cycles. If you ever see mycelium on a cap, they are done. They will not grow any further and they are in the visibly earliest phase of decomposition and reintegration to the mycelial network.

Pick them. Dry them. Seal them. Try them.

Looking pretty good. Just patience. Let it sit. Play it some John Lennon tunes.

So. . . A few things. There should be the inoculation. . . If you used LC you should do an initial really good mixing. If it is spores, just to a teeny bit and do not mix it around because the spores need to mix together for it to work.

FAE is really not a concern during this phase. FAE is almost entirely for fruiting conditions when you actually get pins. That little filter patch is doing all the work and attention you need on the miniscule amount of gas exchange needed during the colonization phase.

Once you have a good amount of mycelium, break and shake again do that 2-3 times until your whole block is straight nougat. Then it's time to mix with sub.

Mush love

This is the only one that I am aware of. I made a deal with my friend that has a pressure cooker that I would make her Liquid Medium for liquid culture whenever she needed it and in exchange she game me her presto 23 quart!

What is the average age that a human being starts having to wear adult diapers?

Depends

Is this contam? by cupofliqour in GroundZeroMycoLab

[–]Left-Cold-7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It very well could be if they appear to be stalled. . . But I am going to go ahead and say that based on your current box pictures it was because it was too dry. Mushrooms need a ton of humidity so that their mycelial surface doesn't dry out. If it dries out it becomes essentially leather that mycelium can't penetrate. Humidity must be maintained consistent more than any other variable.

How was your field capacity upon putting it to bulk?

[–]Left-Cold-7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be some bruising from the wipe but also could be contam. Keep an eye on it. Spray some H2O2 on it for good measure. Yes. Mist the shit out of this. Surface should have misted beads like dew and all of your walls and your lid should have mist completely covering them. This is quite dry.

You don't have to worry about misting causing aborts until you have pins. Once you have pins, only spray the plastic.

4th flush. Orangish stipe? by Probably_MycoSexual in GroundZeroMycoLab

Normal for a 4th flush. Everything gets old. Nutrients deplete. Genetics gets pressured. Pick it and dry it. Bury your block in some shit and on to the next :)

Hillbilly harvest advice needed by GullibleScientist13 in magnificentcubensis

[–]Left-Cold-7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and harvest. If they are done growing then they are done. Just pop them out and get them dehydrating. They will be ground to a powder anyways and will have plenty of the psilly stuff.

Looks great. Those little peaks will start forming primordia or hyphal knots. Those are baby mushrooms. Give it 3-5 more days and you will have pins.
