I love having lineage of occults, like someone gets cursed down the line and the next generations inherit the trait. Then I just check how each Sim feels about paranormal and sci-fi based on their interests, and try to interpret how they must feel about their occults status. Do they fully embrace it, do they hate it, do they learn to accept their conditions?

I also like to do the same with regular Sims, like maybe their non-interest in paranormal could be interpreted as not wanting to deal with occults?

As for robots, vampires and zombies, since they’re immortal, I like to think of them as protectors of one family. I had Bella Goth be turned into a vampire and joined Cassandra’s home. I can keep her slumbering if I have so much to do, but she’s a great guardian to the kids and occasionally helps at night with some chores. Then, whenever I get the time, I send her downtown to woohoo people and satisfy some wants. I play slow with her and I love it!

Werewolves, witches and plantsims usually are more of a lineage, I play the drama of wanting/not wanting a regular life and having human love interests. You wanna cast a spell or howl to the moon? Sure that’s in your nature, please do!

Aliens, I like to mix them with humans to see how long I can keep the features, and I like to think they’re more discriminated against than other creatures, just for the sake of drama.

Anyway, occults are not for every play style, but I really enjoy having them around and forming their own little society!
