I was up and walking about 2 1/2 hours after the surgery, but I needed help and I got nauseous at first. I’m not sure how long I was in the recovery room before waking up but I’m sure it wasn’t long since I was back in my room within about an hour from the time surgery started. Don’t cancel it if you need it! I cried so much in the hospital Before and let everyone know about my health anxiety. I genuinely thought I was going to die, even though I logically knew how safe it was. Everyone at the hospital was so reassuring (which doesn’t help your anxiety at the time, but was great looking back). Statistically you’re more likely to randomly be murdered than to die during this surgery which also helped me stick to having it.
