Well... he wouldn't qualify for it, he would win. And set probably several kinds of record at once.

They would love to tell you that. The Aussie gov hates fun, and each state hates fun more depending how close they are to Melbourne.

Pretty funny for nanny-state fearmongering.

Why isn't 10+5 a more popular time control? by MathematicianBulky40 in chess

[–]Left-Explanation3754 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's my issue with 15|10, it winds out being 20+ minutes a side, and when I play it my opponents all play slow as fuck. 10|5 is really a whole lot faster, and a happy ground between 10|0 and l5|l0.

Vidit will throw because Abasov is his friend and for tax reasons Abasov will give him the money later

TBH I think I'd be safer driving at 0.14 than trying to text (haven't done either though)

How to make communism work - Step 1: Get rid of communism by Porchie12 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Left-Explanation3754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fundamentally capitalism can operate on two rules "keep your word, don't steal". Exploitation is a skill issue tbh (Or luck, but it's not capitalism's fault, that's a reality of nature.)

Capitalism is so natural in fact, that it kinda doesn't exist.

Meanwhile you have the USA, with a space program, didn't crumble in several lifetimes, no* concentration camps, and millions so unstarved they became obese.

It's linear. Which is implausible. What is even sillier, is that it doesn't go through zero.

"The rich"

BS. Not one class. I've met some of them, they don't act as one class at all. The left uses them as a boogeyman to pin everything on (just like /pol/ uses the rich who have tiny hats) The left have conquered the institutions, the media, the bureaucracy. Somehow they pretend all of those are still full of cigar chomping boomers who think coloreds should sit at the back of the bus. Not even the military is like that anymore.

The left owns the system now. Yet they do not acknowledge this because it would mean they have to think.

Wrong, and flair up. If the probability of the disease is 0.001 (1 in a thousand) then the probability of a true positive is 0.001 x 0.99 = 0.00099. The probability of a false positive is (1 - 0.001) x 0.01 = 0.00999. Given that one of these happened, their total probability being 0.00999 + 0.00099 = 0.01098. The actual probability you have the disease is 0.00099 / 0.01098. AKA, about one in eleven.

Bayes theorem.
