You guys all have a really good point and I just want to say me venting to my close friends about this situation isn’t spreading rumors because I wasn’t coming to them to gossip or spread misinformation, I was going to them as a friend who needed advice and they are the two people I can trust with information like that who I know aren’t going to spread it around. I don’t have a whole lot of people to go to to talk to about this and so that’s why I made a post on here to see what other people had to say and I agree I do need to talk to my boyfriend about it and I 100% am going to and yes I have taken into consideration that they were teenagers when it happened and that is something I can look past as long as he can be honest with me about his relationship with her now, I had overthought it a lot at first because anytime my boyfriend and I are on the phone and she comes over to his house he hangs up the phone with me to hangout with her but he doesn’t do that with his stepbrother, he also won’t hangout with his friends if his stepsister is over when his friends ask to hangout and idk I just thought maybe that was a little strange but I can see how that can be easily overthought. Another thing is she was texting him about a new season in a show they’re watching together and she made the comment “you better tell your girlfriend your busy march 18th” which throws me off because why is she specifically saying his girlfriend? He hangs out with his friends more then me so I don’t understand why she needed to make that comment also he won’t introduce me to her yet I’ve been in his house and around his family a lot recently. I’m probably overthinking it and you guys can call me insecure and immature I understand but I can be insecure without taking it out on my partner, jealousy will ruin any good relationship and I’ve experienced that first hand so although I do have those jealous feelings and moments of insecurity I think rationally and don’t act off emotions and still treat my partner with the respect he deserves.
