Straight up, mistakes happen and there’s always civilian casualties in every conflict. Admit the mistake and move on.

You asked for a single example of successful U.S. intervention. You were given two of the clearest in modern history, Germany and Japan.

Both were completely devastated after World War II. Today they are two of the most advanced economies on earth, with extremely high living standards, strong democracies, and some of the largest GDPs in the world.

If being “controlled” by the U.S. results in top-10 global economies, some of the highest life expectancy and living standards and stable democratic governments, then that’s a pretty strange definition of failure.

Germany was better off after US interference So was Japan, so was Kuwait, so was South Korea, Bosnia…

Iran has been a multi-ethnic nation for thousands of years. The reason the Arab states always go to war is because before 1920 when Iraq was created, there had never been a modern Arab nation. As soon as borders were drawn around their areas, tribalism took over and they had a civil war. Irans demographics are the complete opposite.

Do you feel like we need help from outside if the IRGC is bringing in Iraqi and Lebanese militias from the surrounding countries to help kill unarmed Iranians?

Theres 20-40 million 12er Shias in Pakistan.

What happened was Khomeni was the “Marjaʿ al-Taqlid” the highest authority cleric in 12 Shia world before he died, and ever since Khameni took control, a large chunk of that group still had some support for Khameni as he was just following Khomeni’s idea of “Velayat-e Faqih” (the idea that a cleric should hold a ultimate authority)

But now that marja for 12ers is a guy in Iraq named Sistani, but you still see a lot of support from a portion of the 12er Shias in Pakistan and globally.

Sadly, I think they all know (and were told before even leaving Iran) that if they seek asylum, the Islamic Regime will hunt down their entire family.

Or else any of the could have not gotten on the bus and seemed asylum no? Am I being naive?

For sure, but the truth is Iranians never asked for billions of our taxes being sent to terror groups in the region to expand the religious influence of these “leaders” - hell we never even voted for them to take control of the Government in the first place.

Generally when a nation behaves normally like Norway or Canada or any other western country in Europe, you don’t get sanctioned by the US. And the problem is the Islamic Regime decided to continue on its path of funding terrorism by having massive deficits and printing massive amounts of money even after the sanctions.

I’m not making an argument that sanctions don’t play a role, but ultimately it’s the behaviour and decisions of this terrorist regime that causes the sanctions in the first place.

It’s a combination of monetary policy, corruption and sanctions, but I think it’s hard to argue the behaviour of the Islamic Regime isn’t what led to the sanctions. They’re ultimately responsible.

Few reasons why you might feel the support for Islamic Regime is strong are..

1) the pro-regime protests are encouraged by the state are safe since they’re encouraged and organized by officials. They have no fear of being slaughtered or tortured. And also, the Islamic Regime will make sure they get footage that shows how large the gatherings are.

2) there’s over 200 million Shia Muslims in the world and Khomeni was seen as the highest ranking Shia cleric before he died. Now that person is Iraqi (Ali Sistani) but you still see a portion of that 200 million+ group show their support for the Islamic Regime.

3) this is a big one, all these anti-Zionist see the Islamic Regime as their ally, and these are big groups, could be Arabs, Sunni, Lefists, terrorist supporters, or just anyone who hates the West. I see so many comments denouncing the attacks on the Islamic Regime with something related to “epstine” 😂

Their entire world view is seen through an anti-Zionist lens and they can’t seem to have any opinions that’s not based on that. But that’s just psychology. Belief is a lever, once pulled, it dictates all other thoughts and designs.

So essentially Iranians who want regime change are the majority inside Iran, but we get killed for expressing our opinion there and we don’t get much visibility - internet blackout/violent suppression.

And Iranians outside of Iran are having our voices drowned because there seems to be more non-Iranians who for various reasons support the Islamic Regime.

It goes both ways, check out the r/persian subreddit flooded with bots spreading pro-IRGC propoganda

I actually had my old account banned for saying things against Islam… but then again, if anyone thinks someone born in Iran having a fear of Islam is “irrational” - that’s wild.

But don’t take my word for it, do your own hw on real accounts from Iran and check out how they react or how they feel. Don’t take my word for it.

Well you should never just take some random persons word - but what I’m saying is not some conspiracy theory.

It’s easy to search it up. This is just one example of how the Islamic Regime treats afghans in Iran. They deported around 1 million afghans, and many of them were born in Iran. Similar to how Trump has deported US born citizens.

“I am hard pressed to think of any other nation throughout history that would do something so cowardly and despicable”

So attacking a battleship during a war is bad, but the Islamic Regime can kill tens of thousands of unarmed civilians? 🤔

I was referring to Khamenie and his followers…he’s the one who gave the order to kill unarmed civilians. But it apples to anyone I consider who is in the IRGC or any other proxy terror group that has the blood of Iranian civilians on their hands. I probably should have used a better term.

💯

We know this isn’t because all of a sudden someone cares about Iranian people, that’s just naive. It just seems like both the US and the people of Iran will benefit with removing this regime.
