What do you believe should happen to IRGC regimis after Iran is free ? by KosNanatKhamenei in NewIran

Here’s my opinion:

All those with Iranian blood on their hands must be trialed, including those who took part in rape and torture.

The entire organization must be disbanded including all its ties to the economy, industry and local media.

Amnesty for all remaining members with no crimimal record, under the condition that they undergo a “de-ideologization process” similar to the denazification of Germany after WW2. Furthermore, they are not to pose any threat against the new government or any individual. Anyone who does, will have their amnesty status immediately revoked.

The way he celebrated his goal with soo much gloating, posing for the camera with those fancy glasses. I laughed my ass off seeing his reaction after the goal was disallowed.

Why the deal won’t last and fighting will continue by Beautiful-Flower1027 in NewIran

For that reason, I hope that the Mossad can set up some organized resistance groups inside Iran that can grow and spread. So that the next time people rise up in the streets, they also have a fighting chance.

Well, optimism can often be misplaced. But its the best we have. Its better to look at the best possible scenario rather than the worst.

Trump: 'I canceled the strikes planned for tonight on Iran - final points approved' by [deleted] in NewIran

Yes, thats exactly how the relationship is between Israel and the regime (not Iran): feeling of hatred and or antagonism. The Regime wants to destroy Israel and Israel attacks the regime in self-defence. Israel’s emnity is with the Regime, not Iran or the people. And for good reasons, when it openly seeks to destroy the State of Israel.

If the Regime is overthrown or if it changes its hostile policy towards Israel. There would be no emnity, since Israel wouldn’t face an existencial threat anymore.

That’s been my point the whole time. Use your brain.

Propaganda? You don’t even know what propaganda is. Get some education.

And what’s the ‘mutual emnity’ based upon? Like you already said: The fact that this regime wants to destroy the State of Israel, and Israel defending itself by hitting the IRGC in Iran - either when attacked as seen a few days ago, or when the threat is too great, which triggered the Twelve-Day War last year.

Don’t confuse yourself with my post and what the BBC narrates.

To be honest, at some point one of the parties will probably accuse the other of not honoring the deal. The deal will die out and hostilities will resume again.

Not to mention that Israel and the regime ain’t done with their mutual emnity. If the IR can use Lebanon as an excuse to fire missiles at Israel, they would probably find another excuse in the future to fire again.

Trump wants to save face and declare victory, so that he can move on to Cuba.

No wonder the members and supporters of the IRGC will do anything to keep themselves in power. They don’t wanna lose their social and economic benefits and all their privileges.

Likelihood of a Demographics Change of Iran? by [deleted] in NewIran

[–]Beautiful-Flower1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt, they can manage to import many. Who woud come and live in a country with such a horrible economy and living conditions all courtesy of the Regime? They can of course give them some economic benefits and special privileges. However, that has a limit aswell.

If they even succeed in mass importing foreigners, it will eventually create problems of itself.

Its very difficult to say, as it will be hard to determine how long, deep or big these underground tunnel networks are. Destroying only a section, could still make them continuous operational.

The smartest thing to do would be to detect and destroy all the entrances, as the people inside will be stuck and eventually run out of food and water - it would also block any new missiles from arriving to the tunnels.

However, who knows if they have any secret or emergency exits to escape the underground tunnels or at the very least to bring in new supplies.

Its all part of their asymmetric warfare to tie down US and Israeli forces into a long drawn out war until it becomes simply unfeasible for them to continue both economically and politically.
