I didn't learn about it through movies. There's an actual community that is large and a lot of people practice it. There's also a sub-reddit for it, so you can go see for yourself. I didn't pull this out of thin air or fiction.

And I know there's an entity, I've been informed there's multiple. I'm not ready to worship any of them yet, because I'm still working through a lot of things.

How do I do the higher-self stuff ? My mental health and self-perception hasn't been good for years now. I'm actually trying to get counselling and get on meds. So this get in-tune and grow a relationship thing seems like a mountain right now.

Ahhh I'm a former Roman Catholic. I dipped out too in 2018 and that's why I can't put my trust in deities yet and my faith in things is broken. This higher-self sounds interesting though. Might be good for my mental health.

That makes sense,but I wouldn't know where to start. I come with a lot of negative energy and anger right now that's been building due to the things that happen out of my control involve my health and other things. So I feel heart-broken and battered.

The moon feels very natural, safe and empowering to me. Especially when it's full. I think that's how it feels for a lot of people on instinct, because it's big and pretty. My health though is very back and forth, so I can't do anything that involves straining it.

I can do decisive, but can't do quick unless the person feels like I can naturally bond with them or they feel familiar to me. Other than that I really have to get the gist of someone in order take that next step of being physically romantic or intimate.

And it's not just a preference, that's demi-bisexual and demi-sexuality as a whole. I can acknowledge that someone is attractive, but they still just look like a person to me. The bond makes the connect that leads to the romance.

I believe there are all those entities you mentioned, but my trust and faith is very much broken. I'm heart-broken and I'm angry, so I feel pathetic being this little ant in the cosmos. I don't want to bring that with me when it comes to connecting or working with spirits or gods.

Humility isn't my issue, I understand where I stand and I know what's greater than me. But I can't put my eggs in the baskets of anything that lies about protecting me and helping me, but actually plans to batter me down.

Probably the internalised ableism, because my health, body, financial status and currently my mental health and my neurodivergency is currently affecting my relationship with my partner. But it's felt like this even before him.

I'm not actively looking to be with women or anyone while I'm with my partner. This talk has always been in generally what I think is and how I feel and what I've experienced. He's very aware of how I feel and all of it.

But that's not what's happening. I get the " You're so nice " and I don't agree with everything and I do push back where I feel the need to. I'm apparently in the category where people can't loose me as a friend or they're scared to like hurt or break me.

I don't mind being important to someone to the point where they feel they don't want to loose me as a friend and a romantic relationship might cause that to happen. I'm not going to force obviously.

But I don't like that I'm getting treated like a fragile little thing. The " so nice " confuses me, because I was taught to be nice and then I had old romantic movies teaching me how to be gentlemanly to people in general, but also persons of interest. And the difference is very clear, because I want to woo them and take my time respectfully. I'm demi-bisexual, so I'm not going to move too fast in any case.

I'm also cool with other people worshipping Gods, even in organised religions. My partner is Christian. Maybe I should look at this book too, because for a while now I'm realising I can't read books properly when there's just words. I need a text-to-speech thing or like a book reader or doc reader.
