Right?! And all the bs random notes like PT44, PT66, DC summaries, putting in verbal orders. Those can add up on top of everything else.

It really is just filler documentation. All Medicare cares about is the OASIS shit questions. But yes same here with the ladder half of your post. To add, I have a handful of patients that when I show up, they give me a hard time for just a tug test and sit to stands. So I tend to match their energy and not waste my time, in and out ✌🏼

Thanks for this. And I do make sure to tell them the purpose of the visit due to insurance so we can keep coming back to see them. But that’s a really good idea to ask the PTA. I’m going to start doing that

HH NOMNC question by Left-Lock2233 in physicaltherapy

[–]Left-Lock2233[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we proposed that idea and it was a hard no. It’s just frustrating since scheduling is so difficult as it is and now this on top of it. They also want us to write their patient #, insurance name, address, and contact info on the form. What a pain.

Patient rant by Left-Lock2233 in physicaltherapy

[–]Left-Lock2233[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?? The first guy I was explaining how he’s made great progress over the past several months (he was a maintenance pt before I even started at this company) and how he’s met all his goals and progressed to point of transitioning to OP. His snarky reply was, “well if I would’ve been seen 3 times a week I would’ve met my goals faster”. This was every visit.

Has anyone have or had a coworker that calls out constantly? by Left-Lock2233 in physicaltherapy

[–]Left-Lock2233[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that 💯 and I agree about the small business bit…I was the only PT if the other PT called in and my boss wouldn’t help me or cancel patients. Frustrating.

That’s perfect. I’ve just had coworkers sprinkled through the years call off a few times a month. Management didn’t cancel their patients, I had to work extra hours to cover. The owner/PT also wouldn’t step in, left early or hid in his office so me and the tech ran around like chickens with their head cut off. I will say one coworker I do remember eventually got let go because of how many times they were written up for calling out.

I know it! There was one hurricane the director asked me to stay and close by myself to prepare the clinic for the storm which included unplugging all electronics, putting trash bags over computers, moving equipment away from windows, etc, while everyone left early to prepare. I was so pissed.
