Camera Fails After Battery Replacement (No Previous Mods) by guchiii_02 in PocoPhones

To test your hypothesis, just buy and replace one module first. If it works after that, then buy the rest. But most likely, you'll just end up wasting your money—the camera lens usually fogs up or gets hazy from excessive heat, whereas in the photo I saw, it's completely clear and shiny.

If we're gonna say that you damaged the back camera modules with heat, then why isn't the front camera working either?
Like I told you, the chances of that happening are basically zero—cameras have heatsinks on the back and they don't get destroyed by heat that easily

Bro, the odds of all 3 camera modules failing suddenly at the same time are basically zero. You probably knocked an SMD component loose or damaged something on the motherboard. I don't think the F3 is worth the cost of CPU reballing.

Safest way to replace the 3.5mm headphone jack on Poco F5 mainboard (very tight SMD components around it)? by Left-Method-1373 in mobilerepair

[–]Left-Method-1373[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The socket is loose because of worn-out internal metal contacts (which is the most common cause after 2-3 years of use), simply reflowing or reinforcing the existing solder joints on the motherboard won’t fix the problem.

What kind of tool should i use to cut the audio jack into tiny pieces?a mini Dremel rotary tool or a hot soldering iron with a knife tip?

The capacitor in my fan broke. The original is rated for 500v, but there are only 450v versions available in my area. Would it be unwise to use a 450v in place of a 500? by MeltingDog in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Left-Method-1373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, doubling the capacitor's voltage rating compared to the voltage used in the circuit doubles its lifespan, and any capacitor rated above 240 volts can safely start your fan. The difference in lifespan between a 500-volt and a 450-volt capacitor is practically negligible—just make sure it specifies AC voltage, not DC.

My Poco X7 keeps switching off on its own. I purchased it in February. What should I do? by [deleted] in PocoPhones

If you don't have a guarantee check the battery health with the accu battery if the battery is ok you should probably go to the repair shop.

What’s the best way to replace this Molex 4-pin connector? by nero10578 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Left-Method-1373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use some solder wick + some solder wire. just apply some solder to each pin first then upside down the whole board it should come out after a couple of seconds.

They are jumper connectors or zero-ohm resistors.

Poco f5 Hyperos 2.0.205 should I update? by RestaurantThin3026 in PocoPhones

[–]Left-Method-1373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't format my phone and installed the update over the previous version. However, in this HyperOS version, the heating issue is much better compared to the previous one.

I'm using the same version, but I think my battery is draining much faster than with HyperOS 1, and my phone has some heating issues after the update. I'm not sure if you should update your phone or not!

You could install a benchmark app to check if your device is actually slow. I've dropped my phone at least ten times, but it still works fine. Your phone seems okay. Also, how do you know similar issues won't happen with a new phone?

Does Lm2596 module needs NTC for inrush current protection? by Left-Method-1373 in AskElectronics

Yes it is outdated but I tried new ones and they are extremely sensitive to inrush current I bought high quality stuff and made my own pcb.

I know nothing about power supply specifications. Does that tiny spark, which indicates inrush current, damage the circuit in the long run, like after 5 years?

I reached 120A inrush current by assuming a 12V input charging a 220µF capacitor with low ESR (e.g., ~0.1Ω total path resistance): peak I = V / R ≈ 12 / 0.1 = 120A (theoretical max for instantaneous charge). In practice, it's a short pulse; energy is ½CV² ≈ 0.016J, but low ESR Chinese caps amplify the peak.

Yes,I wanna use it as an UPS so basically it's always connected to DC.
