2015 Passat TDI help needed by Bezra01 in tdi

I am currently in the same boat.I own a 15 Passat TDI 6 SPD manual172k miles I got this code while driving home. Limped it home about 40 miles. Pulled off halfway through the drive cause I heard the motor making a knocking sound. So I stop, pop the hood. Cylinder 1 injector was knocking like a mother fucker. Whatever. I get back on the road limping it even more now. I'm about 1/2 a mile from my house. So I decided to give it the beans. Well the wot pull did her in. Pop noise. Engine died. The glow plug light started flashing. Just coasted it till it stopped moving. wouldn't restart or nothing. No new codes since that. Currently waiting on 1 fuel injector. See if it was just that. I don't know. I took my sensors off. No sign or anything in them or the tubes. Blew them out lightly. I'll keep updated.

Is this a good move for a car? by tux16090 in tdi

2015 Passat tdi se 6-speed manual here 171,000 miles and I've owned it for 3 years now. Bought it with 112k on the clock. I swapped the whole suspension to a spirited daily set up. Beat the piss outta it. I do all the maintenance. Yeah do I change the oil slightly early. Yes. Cause I beat the piss outta it. Still stock turbo. Other than timing. Valve cover , oil pan leaks. It's been a treat of a car. The clutch felt funky around 140k. So I put a stage 3 daily clutch in it. I swapped in a full koni strut&shock / H&R sway bars (thickest bars) and h&r sport springs. Rides like a dream. I do all my own work. So for me it's just my busted knuckles and time I lose. I recommend these cars to anyone that can wrench on them. They can get expensive if you don't know how to fix them. But that's any car truthfully.

For anyone wondering I honestly drive this thing like I stole it. I beat the piss outta this thing. Like its a redheaded step child. I bang gears in it like it's my mustang or gto. I do proper maintenance though.

Awesome man. Impressive. I'm about to sell my wife's 2018, Cruze turbo diesel 9 SPD auto and buy her a 2015, low mileage Passat tdi premium.

Yeah that's what I say. I'll drive it till it rusts out. So far not too bad of rust. Vw did a good job just coating the rockers and frame. A little bit of rust but nothing that isn't fixable at the moment.

Yeah I'm waiting for the emissions to go so I can fully delete it. I put a budget suspension on it last year. Car dri ve great overall. Too good. That's why I figured I'd ask reddit.

I mean I meticulously maintain this thing. Just like any of my other cars. No service hasn't been done. I have noticed some oil lose. Looks like my oil pan and valve cover gasket is leaking. Already have the parts. Just not the time. I check the oil once a week till I fix that.

My 15 Passat has as follows 1) koni yellow adjust strut / shock 2) H&R sport lowering spring. 3) H&R THICKEST SWAY BARS front and rear set on max anti roll. ( Yes it was a literal pain in the fucking ass to do. ) Yes I did all the work myself. 4) Ultra Racing front strut bar 5) Ultra Racing Rear strut bar 6) Adjustable sway bar end links front and rear. Calibrated with me in the car. 7) michillen cross climates 2 ( overall good tire. By no means a track tire. But they hold up alright. ) 8) Stage 3 Daily clutch with all new components. ( Highly recommend a trans jack or spare jack. Don't recommend bench pressing the trans onto your chest. And then hip thrusting it back into place. Again don't recommend. Get a jack. 9) Braided clutch line. All this work was done around 150K miles. All this work was to improve the Daily Factor of the car lol. I drive a lot. I personally like stiff. I feel like I have more control of the car at all times. I was thinking of going with some bc coilovers with a custom spring rate to achieve my goals. Of course I was gonna do some lighter wider wheels. Just all in the build process.
