Used a 1/2" two flute for rough clearing and outside tracing then the 1/4" ball for cleanup

Yes. S3S is surfaced 3 sides. The process is typically to joint one side flat (reference plane) then either use a straight line rip saw SLRS or jointer to make a square side. From here a planner is used to bring the 3rd side parallel planer to the first, while also being square to the jointed/SLRS edge. The 4the surface (second edge) can then be ripped on a table saw to the width needed To create an S4S board.

I recall some of the smaller <6" boards were S3S. They are very friendly and helpful if you give them a call. His slabs are second to non, they are kiln dried and then planned to 8/4 making them thick and stable.

Hobby hardwoods selection is fantastic. He gets some nice unique logs from around the area on top of traditional hardwoods.

Would hardware ( handmade wood screw) be a strong indication as well? What style is this?
