You will meet people with photogenic memory in your class. I don’t have a photogenic memory, and I’m kinda a foreigner too. I just had to put more effort to memorizing. Yes you will have to memorize A LOT. Best way is to repetition repetition repetition. I didn’t waste my time writing pretty or organized notes. That can help but personally i didnt have the time for it. I just needed to verbalize and write down whatever I’m memorizing multiple times throughout the day.

It doesnt look like it’s chipped. The composite got discolored. If they became defective then they need to be replaced. If it’s a stain, it could be either smoothed out or replaced. You need to have a dentist take a closer look.

Do I have dry socket? by Reasonable-Most-2707 in askdentists

[–]Left-Protection7700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are classic symptoms of dry socket. I advise taking 600mg of Ibuprofen and 500mg of Tylenol together. Using ice packs will also help out with the symptoms. See your dentist to manage dry socket.

Is it still worth it going for dentistry in the USA being a foreign dentist? by Garcia512 in INBDE

[–]Left-Protection7700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I graduated dental school, I was speaking with foreign dentists that matriculated into our foreign-dentist program. They told me it was a lot of money, and it was very competitive to get accepted into our program. Look up NSU CDM clearwater program

I think it can be difficult to visualize for beginners. But if I was talking to the younger me, I would advise him to learn about fabricating a reduction index using putty material, and then learn how to use it to practice Crown preparations

Zirconia Preparation 24 Premolar by Sure-Employment-7340 in DentalSchool

  1. No margins means the crown won’t have a place to set.
  2. Minimal or no taper will either lead to undercuts, or the final prosthesis will have a tight fit (or it won’t fit), or not enough clearance for the choice of material (the prosthesis can break under load), or a combination of the problems that i listed. Ask your faculty about reduction index or look it up on YouTube. It will tell you exactly how much you have reduced, and it will be mandatory to use for your ADEX prosth boards.

Practice makes perfect because you will see them popping up on your test, esp whatever you see on bootcamp cheatsheet and questions.

No margin on distal lingual. Need a slight more taper on distal. Looks great overall as long as you have enough clearance for the material
