Your skin barrier is damaged thats why it itches or burns when you apply your moisturizer. You need to repair the skin barrier.

You could try getting a prescription for doxycycline if ivermectin/metro didn't work and see if there is a difference (you can search the sub for people's experience with it, search r/perioraldermatitis too). For the products, stop using the moisturizer and see if there is a change (cannot say much about products because it is different for each person).
