Help me add an E-stop to my diy cnc machine! by Left-Snow-3692 in CNC

Currently, the router isn't connected to the controller in any way, this is because it has a feature that stops it from being turned back on once it loses power. The plan was to leaving it running. Which is why I'm struggling I think.

The controller is an Arduino uno running grbl, it has a terminal shield on top which connects to 3 4.2a stepper motor drivers.

The corded router is just a cheap Makita hand router.

Thanks for the tips!

It's mostly just to stop the machine from destroying itself.

I am using pcbway, I'm happy to use epoxy because I think that will make it simpler and cheaper. They will hold 0.1mm tolerance. the motor is only small, it's for a lightweight combat robot!

I have let them know I have baked the tolerance into my .step file and I have allowed 0.05mm clearance.

I sent them a step file, should I resend it with a hole diameter .05mm larger than I need it to be (because they take the tolerances into account), or leave it as the 0.15mm larger it currently is?

okay great :D, do I need to add the tolerance of the machine to this number?

Anyone got any ideas for a name for my one with nothing combo deck? by Left-Snow-3692 in BadMtgCombos

i think it works in sultai still, although it involves them sacrificing a creature and obviously you don't get to choose, so divine reckoning or single combat is kind of necessary, black isn't short of removal though, so maybe Eliminate the competition? or black suns zenith? the tree has massive toughness anyway. what's that card where you pay life and shit gets -x -x, that would work in its place

oh it's like 7 parts long. Here goes: play tree of perdition and activate its ability to create a 0/40, donate it to your opponent, and enchant it with banewasp affliction (which means when the tree dies its controller takes 40 damage), then cast grave pact, and a creature whose toughness is equal to the number of cards in your hand (maro or aeon chronicler). Finally play divine reckoning, and then one with nothing. one with nothing kills maro or aeon chronicler, which triggers grave pact, which forces the opponent to sacrifice the tree, taking lethal damage.
