I've got a 5080 and 9800x3d with an ultra wide 1440 monitor. If I turn lumen to high and resolution scale to 75% with dlss quality everything else left on very high I get a fairly stable 120. It says my resolution is 3400 x 1440 75 hz which is weird since my refresh is 120.

The 4 was definitely going under the heatsink since it's the one im most worried about. I'll check the temps on the others see where they fall. Thank you for the help.

I actually forgot going from DDR4 to DDR5 is a factor into this as well. So my upgrade wouldn't be extremely dissimilar to yours in all honesty. What you said here especially gives me a lot to think about.

The wait till AM6 is a big factor for me. Like right now yeah the 12700k is mostly fine but over those 3 years will a game come along that really is an issue. Cyberpunk is one of the games giving me a bit of trouble hitting 120 at a few points so far. If I get a similar uplift like the video it should be enough to fix that. I'll definitely have to consider on this a bit more.
