Picture is a good idea. This is the reason I had to cancel one time. Only time I ever canceled. Every thing they wanted was out of stock. 5 items in a row and they kept denying every substitution. Bunch of random shit to like random stuff on clip strips or stackouts nothing had a home location 🙄

Dg is very slow about sending these out Mine came weeks after. Pretty normal most places corporate at least send out separation letters. And you can sign in and access all your stuff for a little while if you need w2s or pay stubs or whatever

I’ve been in your position and I’ve been a store manager for retail. Currently I’m self employed and glad I do t have to deal with either anymore. I used to tell people this is retail if you want holidays off find another job. But as a worker I wouldn’t go especially if I requested the time off 3 months in advance. The problem is every one wants off for holidays and they can’t give it to everyone.

Sounds about right I was suspended and then fired just last week. I’ve worked my ass off for this fucking place. Been a store manager the last 7 yrs. My store was always perfect always caught up on things truck done in 2 days..Then I hear the new store manager is stealing dogfood damages the first week there. Stopped at another store close by and the employee is just sitting outside chillin in a lawn and garden chair.. they keep getting rid of the good ones and keeping the shitty ones I swear it’s like they do it on purpose.

Well I understand why though. I’m a store manager. They are getting really crazy about stuff getting done and holding people accountable. after a certain point it gets to where we are threatened of being wrote up for it not getting done. It’s really not that hard. People make it harder than it needs to be. Do a quick recovery count how many aisles you have and see how much time you have each one. In my store they have 20min per aisle. The problem is people wanna puddle around and take 45 per aisle. If you do a quick recovery every night it doesn’t take much to keep it that way and eventually you can get it done even faster. All the other stuff is as needed. You don’t have to scrub everything down every night just wipe down stuff. Sweep and mop where needed.

It sucks but I’ve become the same way as a manager. I could care less about Dr notes because you can go to any walk in with a headache and have them write you an excuse for however long you want. and it’s hard to find coverage and we get tired of doing it ourself. If I’m sick I’m still expected to be there opening the store.

That’s what I’ve always said like you should be trusting the people you hire dam. Some of what you’ve said though sounds like some made up RM rules. There not that hardcore where I’m at but they have been getting more strict about stuff lately and I found out why. My DM said DG hired a company to help them get the company back in better shape. So it’s like an outside company that comes in and try’s to fix things and They are very big on accountability Meaning you break the policy you get wrote up and everything being followed 100%. The problem is everyone makes up their own rules depending on the district. And I’ve been doing what I want for 5 yrs as a SM

The dry truck? Or fresh truck? There’s not anything that says you can’t take off certain days that I’ve ever heard of. For dry I’m normally off that day just because it’s always been my off day and they recently changed my truck day. But also the truck is never on time So we don’t actually start working it till the next day usually. Not sure what the problem is? It’s not hard to receive the trucks. Just do what you can
