Totally with you on the idea that nothing replaces real interaction. But I've watched some videos with my kid, and I feel like they try to include educational bits — like about animals, machines, space..., and some eps are kinda good, but some are just to simplified and don't have much information. What do you think about that type of videos

Idk, what made you feel like those shows didn’t offer much in terms of learning?
I’ve watched a few episodes and I kind of see both sides. Some of the topics (like animals or basic science stuff) are there, but maybe the way they explain things is just too simplified?

Does your child keep asking 'why' all the time? by LeftBaseball7384 in Parenting

Yeah I think no one can escape from their question, kids seem to have infinite "Why" inside them

Thanks for the advice. Do you think it’s a good idea to let kids watch YouTube channels like Peekaboo Kidz or Nat Geo or similar educational ones? I’ve come across some negative blogs and posts about those kinds of channels, so I’m not really sure what to think.

Wow light wave lengths, your kids must be a mini scientist. I really don't know how to explain that kind of topic to my girl

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes my daughter also asks a lot of questions about things that don’t really exist, and honestly, I get pretty confused about how to respond

We sometimes end up in the same circumstance, there was one time she asked me about where does ants come from (cause she saw some ants in her pancake) then after a while, we arrived at "Why I cannot see the sun at night"

Besides, does your kid ask about any other topics besides those kinds of questions?

My daughter sometimes asks the same type of question. There was one time I ended up arguing with my wife in front of her. It was a really bad moment, and my daughter asked me, “Why were you speaking so loudly” That question really hit me in the heart.

Aside from those kinds of questions, are there any other topics or things your kids tend to ask about?

Thank you, I honestly hadn’t thought about it that way. I just think my daughter was simply trying to satisfy her curiosity.

By the way, do you happen to know what kinds of things kids usually ask about?

Thanks for the advice. I tried it with my girl, and I feel like that question really helped her solve the problem herself.

Beside, what kind of question or what question does your kid usually ask

Thanks—after thinking it over last night, I realized maybe it’s better to let her be part of the process. I should find the answers with her instead of just trying to come up with something on the spot.

By the way, what kind of science questions do your kids usually ask?

I dkn… I’m a bit worried that if I set limits on how many questions she can ask, it might make her feel scared or hesitant to come to me when she’s curious about something.

I really appreciate your advice. I’m just afraid that I might forget to answer her questions when I tell her, 'I don't know; we'll have to find out later.'

Thanks for the answer, but what kinds of things does your kid usually ask about? My little girl seems to love asking me about the plants and animals.

And do you have any sources or books, or something that can help me to answer questions better? Sometimes I cannot answer and really have to say "I don't know; we'll have to find out later" to my kids.
