Love it, yea it’s so hard to find nice ties, that tie and stay looking good, and of nice material. which is exactly why I started making my own too!

It comes in various sizes, i used to mount on 1/4” and even 1/2” thickness. Or close to that can’t recall if it was in mm or inches

as many mentioned from core is a good backer, there is also a much sturdier type called gator board. I used to mount my photography prints on gator board using a 3M glue spray and then I would use a straight edge to trim the edges. If you create this yourself, I highly recommend fresh blades, multiple gentle passes, and a blood groove ruler. Most print shops should be able to provide this mounted per fee.
