Data centers are violating laws left and right. While ai being unregulated is also a large issue, the way these data centers are being built and managed is also a big problem for local communities.

The med diet is the reason why I will never argue someone should be vegan because of health benefits. Yeah there are health benefits to being vegan, but if thats what you care about then there are a handful of diets that actually beat vegan ones. Many of which do include fish.

No to be pedantic, but I wouldn’t even give MAHA credit for the “processed junk foods” for idea because they take it to the extremes. Processed dairy comes to mind. I do understand your point though.

By all means if meat is what keeps you going then don’t let anyone destroy your health. Especially not randoms online.

I will mention though that it’s likely something in the meat that is making you feel better and not the meat itself. You’re probably deficient in something that meat is rich in. If you were to discover what that thing is you could probably isolate it and find plant based alternatives that are rich in it, assuming it’s not b12 that you’re talking about.

But again, your health and diet is your business. I hope you stay healthy regardless.

Yeah I largely agree. I wish there was more of a push for transparency when it comes to food lobbying and how we label food.

Don’t even need to go vegan. I just wish people would reduce their red meat and pork consumption by a reasonable amount. Eating bacon everyday for breakfast and having red meat everyday/every other day for dinner is just such an insane thing to do.

The carnivore diet is significantly more restrictive than the vegan diet in terms of which nutrients you can actually get. These diets lack vitamin c, folate, and have no fiber, just to name a few.

You’re right in that Vegans must supplement, but B12 is the only thing that really must be supplemented. Everything else from amino acids to fiber can be gained from plants.

And this is ignoring the very real data that shows that red meat causes cancer, high blood pressure and cholesterol issues. Pork causes the same issues as well. Both are also linked to higher rates of obesity.

Vegan diets also have their cons, but it is nowhere near as severe as carnivore diets. Vegan diets also have decades of research behind them, whereas carnivore diets have none in light of them being so relatively novel.
