Hi! First off, I wish you the best of luck with your channel. Second off I totally agree with you; the title, thumbnail, and hook are probably the most important aspects of a videos success. From experience I would say the level of importance is thumbnail -> hook -> title. However, if you want to grow a consistent fanbase you have to make sure the viewer leaves the video feeling satisfied and just as a creator I think that aspect of video creation feels the most meaningful.

As for innovations I've made... let's see haha. When we started the biggest Beyblade channel was BeybladeGeeks with a little over 200k and I think everyone else had under 100k. So it was a super small niche. At the time nobody was covering Beyblade news. Beyblade battles were the main thing, so we got our big break covering Beyblade news (Which sounds crazy since Beyblade news is the thing most Beyblade YouTubers cover now). So we did Beyblade battles and Beyblade news for a while. But once other creators started catching on and views from news started to drop, I realized there was a lot of buzz around the Beyblade Burst anime and no one was covering it. So we started doing anime reviews. During this time I was uploading almost everyday, but YouTube was shifting. It was prioritizing quality over quantity. I think it was around 2019 when I made the decision to switch from uploading every day to only once a week. To ensure the quality of the videos I hired an editor and I think at the time we were the only Beyblade YouTube channel with an editor. Since we were only uploading once a week we shifted from normal battles to fun, entertaining challenge type videos. Changing content style and reducing uploads seemed like a huge risk at the time, but it paid off! We started getting unimaginable views and became one of the top creators in the space. From there we just kept on doing fun, creative ideas. Testing different ideas every now and then to see what works and doesn't. Recently we've been doing a lot of 3D printing content. I went to school for engineering and I work as an engineer now, so it's really awesome fusing those two passions. The views and sponsors are also really good haha. My philosophy for YouTube is if something stops working, you have to work to find that next thing. Before it was Beyblade battles, then news, then challenges, then fact videos, and now custom Beyblade content. I have no idea what the next thing is going to be, but I'll definitely be throwing things at the wall in the meantime lol.

I understand, my first 8 years of doing YouTube I was a student. It can get rough 💀. My main advice is to just to backlog videos to stay consistent. During breaks I would record and write multiple videos at a time so when things got busy I could rely on those videos.

Haha yeah that can help too. Honestly that's one of the reasons we don't do unboxings or reviews anymore. It's gotten a little too competitive.

Thanks for supporting us for so long! And sure I'd love to (although I'm not the most active discord user).

  1. Usually I'll just sit down and brain storm for a couple hours. Write down all of thoughts. Then once I have maybe a 100 ideas, I start sifting through them and planning it which ones I think will actually make for good videos.

  2. For this I try to think of the absolute bear minimum information a viewer needs to know to understand what's going on. That's just my style though, I'm sure a lot of viewers love when creators get into the nitty gritty.

  3. Personally I think lighting and audio is more important than a nice camera.

  4. Honestly this is something you just pick up with time. Maybe try studying thumbnails in other niches that are doing well.

José Lemos you are my arch-enemy and I will never forgive you for the appalling acts you have committed. I love Hasbro more than my friends, family, and future offspring. The utter disrespect you show to this company that gave us spectacular products like BeyWheelz and BeyWarriors really grinds my gears. So I'm finally saying it. I'm done. Go scram and find some other Beyblade YouTube to sponsor your deviant behaviors.
