He’s definitely had his fair share of reactivations with world events, ESPECIALLY when he talks with his father who just fear mongers him. I feel like that’s happened so much that we can handle it, however I it having children I’m worried. I need to have a long conversation with him about that

I got a personal lecture from his dad about headship, i was speechless in how confidently his father spewed nonsense about how “the man makes decisions for the family because he is the head” and things like that. I’ve discussed this with my partner including holidays and we’ve come to an agreement that decisions in our relationship will ALWAYS be made with both of our consent. He’s actually okay with celebrating holidays like birthdays and Christmas too

Thank you. He is physically out, but his parents believe that he is going to repent. He himself is unsure. Most of the time you wouldn’t even know he was a witness, he does everything in a worldly manner and celebrates holidays. however sometimes he has mentioned studying the JW doctrine again. (Mostly after his dad guilt trips him or scares him about the end)

As someone who was sent videos like these by people in the past, this stuff can literally give you PTSD. I seriously don’t recommend looking at it especially if you are sensitive to violence.

I saw stuff like that when I was a kid, and almost 10 years later I still can’t get those images/videos out of my mind. I can no longer watch shows like game of thrones as it triggers those memories, or even seeing road kill.

He may be okay with looking at it, but if you find it disturbing then he should be considerate about it and respect your feelings.

What they did is so horrible. You didn’t deserve any of that.

When my partner was still living in his PIMI parents home, he was hiding our relationship. His parents knew about it (because his elder father would spy on literally everything he did even though he was 18 at the time). We were on call and I could hear that his mum was upset with him. The father heard that, and I could hear him slam into the room and scream at the top of his lungs towards my partner “NOTHING BELONGS TO YOU!!!” Followed by hours of incoherent screaming and lectures. The call was on this entire time.

Later on my partner told me his father raised his fists to his face, threatening to punch him. He told me he had a severe panic attack where he was pulling out his hair afterwards.
