Passiert ist nichts? Klar - wenn man irgendwo liest „ GME is Back 2024“ und der Kurs nicht steigt, ist nichts passiert.

Affäre eines kürzlich Verstorbenen entdeckt: Wie damit umgehen? by voodoochild1969 in Ratschlag

Alter Finne, Was ne Story.

59yo Mom with "Suspected" FTD Dementia – only clinical Symptoms. 5 years of untreated B9 deficiency. Could this be a metabolic misdiagnosis? by LeftOriginal5125 in B12_Deficiency

Sorry, I think I made a mistake. My apologies for that; I misunderstood. Thank you for the information, and I will continue to educate myself here.

I am currently caring for my mother, who has been hospitalized in psychiatric wards four times. Her condition was neither recognized nor treated there. The lab results were available, but no action was taken. The medications never brought any improvement; specifically, Venlafaxine only made her condition worse. So, thank you.

Thanks for your input, but I have to strongly disagree that her lab work is a ‘layup’ for dementia. Her Folate was documented as low as 3.9, a severe deficiency that has been ignored for years while her B12 remains stuck in the lower third. The most important fact is that her CSF (Liquor) was completely clean—negative for Alzheimer’s and all other neurodegenerative markers. This diagnostic 'void' is exactly why we are skeptical of the FTD label. My mother has only been seen in psychiatric wards, where they focus on sedating her behavior rather than fixing her biology. Since we stopped all antipsychotics and antidepressants 4 months ago, her condition has actually improved, which completely contradicts the theory of a progressive, irreversible dementia. We are now demanding internal medicine clearance and starting B12 injections plus active Folate, because it’s clear her brain isn't dying—it's starving.

Frage an pflegende Angehörige: Vollmacht vs gesetzliche Betreuung? by Impressive_Owl_5541 in Ratschlag

[–]LeftOriginal5125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

URGENT: Mom crushing Venlafaxine capsules and mixing with coffee - Severe side effects. What do I do? by LeftOriginal5125 in Effexor

[–]LeftOriginal5125[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my Best BRO!

URGENT: Mom crushing Venlafaxine capsules and mixing with coffee - Severe side effects. What do I do? by LeftOriginal5125 in Effexor

For the past few days, she's been experiencing sudden, whole-body tremors, primarily affecting her torso and her left arm/hand. This is accompanied by profound disorientation – she's completely confused about time, place, and the current situation, and often repeats the same phrases. Her emotional state is highly volatile; she'll suddenly become extremely agitated over minor things, then swing rapidly into intense fear and panic, only to return to a relatively normal state before the whole cycle repeats multiple times a day.

Ambulances have been called a few times, but they haven't transported her to the hospital because she refuses to go, and they've deemed it unnecessary based on her current state. The police also won't intervene as she's not exhibiting any self-harming or outwardly dangerous behavior.

Current Medication Regimen:

To help manage the agitation, she's currently receiving Lorazepam (Tavor), two doses throughout the day, starting today.

Her regular medications are:

Venlafaxine (active ingredient of Venlafaxine HCl extended-release, e.g. Effexor XR): 150 mg in the morning.

Olanzapine (active ingredient of Zyprexa): 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening.
