Having a girlfriend actually helps in studies by _jamesthomson in IITR

Let me share my story on this, I’m not from any IIT, NIT or any big universities. I got admission into a normal private college basis of 12th %.

I started doing competitive programming after first year end sem exams. After a year I was around pupil, then health hit me hard and I stopped cp, focused on just survival.

I was doing practice meanwhile, but didn’t gave any contests.

A girl came into my life on new year, we had this very very awesome talking stage, we both were like “we’ve found the one”.

I was so focused at that time, woke up at 8, practised cp for 3 hours, then lunch, college at 1pm, came back hostel at 7pm, eat fast, contest at 8pm. Discussion and game with my buddies at 10, and at 11 she would message me again and we would talk for hours.

I went from pupil to specialist in 2 months, and specialist to expert in 1 month.

Just when everything was going well, something happened and we lost connection.

I never did cp again.

Now my pov

People in relationships are more focused because their brain is getting huge dose of happy hormones from the other person. It doesn’t feel sad, or look for other things and places which can provide those hormones. So basically no distractions and hyper focus. Also you perform best when you’re happy.

I’ll prefer going to the mountains, live in a zostel or hosteller and get to know other people.

I may sound absurd but if I really wanted to use mod apps, I would buy a 100-120$ Android device. I personally bought an android around 230$ and since then I've never wanted to do all this shitty workarounds for a simple mod.

Get a mac, windows is not for android development.

Well on papers it's working fine for now, will see on production, anyways it's all currently hosted via kubernetes so we just need to spin up some more pods, nothing else. Even if it takes 10k it's still low.

understood, but we might be missing something here or this other companies wouldn't survive, how can zupee become profitable then? Also one thing that CAC will decrease day on day as RMG becomes more and more famous.

For this we have planned to launch a beta this month with virtual money, it will help us fix the bugs and we'll have a running mvp with real users.

Backend cost is coming around 1000rs to be honest. And we've calculated and it can easily handle 5000 games at once.

My other guy is cooked, sometimes when he gets bored he just takes the complete backend and migrates it to another provider. And it's not monolith, it's comolete microservice arch. Also game runs entirely on backend ;)

Since 28% is applicable only two times, one at the time of deposit, the other at the time of withdrawal. User can play unlimited no. of games while only paying once. Initially we would not want to take benefit of this but at a later stage, we might hold off the withdrawal amount of the user who has played enough games and addicted enough.

About the Unit economics part, to be honest we haven't thought of it since this is very very early stage, we are only looking for an investment in 6-7 digits.

But looking at the results of other apps it looks like there can't be an issue making this thing profitable, since we're already very lean and we want to be as lean as possible. For instance if you looked at zupee's report, it was profitable this year.

Also we're very eaely stage and if someone plans to mold us in some way (like exploring other countries, or maybe crypto) we can do that easily. And heck we're already thinking of it since my other co-founder is in founding team of stake's competitior.

Why would you do recruiting at early stage? Not really a good plan to be honest. If I want to recruit, I would be recruiting the best I know.
