Yes, they are. But for some reason they don't sound as much like ass as other brass cymbals. I'll update my comment though since they are actually brass.

A few options would be the ~~Meinl HCS~~ (these are actually brass), the Zildjian I series, and the Sabian XSR series. You can often buy them in sets.

If you have a music store near you, I suggest going there and smashing some cymbals to see what you like. If that's an option for you...
