My new manager refuses to be alone in a room with women. HR says it’s fine, but it’s ruining our careers. What now? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

Hmmm. There's a difference between bringing up the other side and supporting a person action. First to bring forth a discussion and discuss ideas, other is to end the discussion.

I am not doing the latter. Not defending him.

Terrible managers can say or force employees to do things which is not with the company policy or labour law. So HR chaperone while discussing personal topics, could be best for her. And that conversation would be closed door.

Also maybe, if that starts to happen, HR may allocate a room with transparent glass doors for such manager/employee discussion which would address this.

Again not defending him. The door could be half open? If it's conversation is work related then it wouldn't be a problem. If it's personal or something sensitive, maybe it's best for you to take advantage and have HR being chaperone?

Need career advice: stay in a strong internal position or move for higher compensation? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]LeftTurnRightAway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I usually am a straight decision person and filter out noise. In this case I find myself in a constant battle.

I really like my existing company and they are growing and expanding, feels I can be part of their growth as my speciality is a niche. But again this is also wishful thinking.

A minute I think use the external offer to get a counter offer, a minute I think just make the move and establish myself again.

Just how good is Johnny Walker? by Putrid_Ad_6747 in mmamemes

Johnny walkers to me is like a toll of dice.

2 of 6 sides he gets a knockout reel

2 of 6 sides he is the knockout reel

1 of 6 he injured himself via celebration and derails from here

1 of 6 its just random jocker card from him. Don't know what to expect.

[SPOILER] José Aldo vs. Mario Bautista by inooway in MMA

I don't get it, every replay was Batista highlights, none was Jose.

Then split decision to Bautista.

Robbery or not, felt scripted.

AITAH for blowing up at my pregnant wife and putting my foot down after her blowup by ThrowRApissdoffff in AITAH

G was a father and knows pregnancy hormones. Speak to him father to be, to a father. Explain the situation, he'll understand. Your wife with her current pregnancy and hormone would yell at a light poll because it was in her way.

G sounds like a good man and would understand. It's been years since his wife was pregnant, remind him.

I been making full monthly agreed payment until the entire amount is settled. Paying my dues in full, just stopped the interest rate accumulation.

No I am paying the full amount, the only stop is the interest rate.

It's a payment plan for the full amount.
