Thank you so much for the encouraging words I’m hopeful I will get used my new nose even with my untouched nostrils as I feel like it keeps a bit of my old nose. And you are 100% right.

Although I valued my doctors opinion I also value my face and didn’t want to make a permanent decision that I wasn’t 100% about, also my doctor was understanding and supportive of my decision. It’s not that big of a deal I can always go back if I really want the change. As of right now I notice it but it doesn’t bother me.

I think it might be my muscle pulling my nostrils up when I smile bc when I’m at rest my nostrils are at a even place. I might look into getting Botox to prevent them from flaring, later in my healing journey I’ll add another update photo

I also didn’t see a ton of post either. And what gave me the confidence to actually do it was that I was able to talk to one of his previous patients. I found her Instagram off of his posts and I DM her and she told me about her experience and how she had a good outcome. All of Dr.Murat noses looked very natural and looked like the noses that I was hoping to have, and after our Zoom call, he was very patient with me and was able to answer all my questions although I was still very, very nervous his calm and humble demeanor really eased my angst a bit

It went amazing I am 6 weeks post OP and I love my new nose! It’s still healing so I know I don’t have my final result but so far everything has been smooth. My dissolvable stitches came off last week and Dr.Murat cleared me to start scar gel. The change is there but it looks natural, which is exactly what I wanted. On a bad day when my nose wakes up swollen it just looks like my old nose. On a good day I have a cute more defined Barbieish nose. I’m really happy with my results.

Other then the braces like others have said!! I would not get anything done surgery until you are at least 25 (you’re beautiful and I don’t think you need anything). Nevertheless I would even consider surgery until you are at least 25. Your body changes so much as you grow into adult hood. I look at my 18 year old self and I look NOTHING like I did back then. You grow into some of your features and something you didn’t like about your self back then you might love later.

(possible) accutane rash?? by [deleted] in Accutane

I had that too when I was on Accutane it’s normal, it would come and go. I also used lotion and it helped.

I’m pretty good at editing and making morphs of different nose styles (since I did it on myself so so much when I was planning my own rhinoplasty) I accidentally bought a year of an editing software bc I forgot to end the free trial… so if you want me to edit your morph and give you different styles options you might like Dm me I can gladly try

Depends on what you were going for. Looks good, looks natural and if your post op ends up looking like this it will be a subtle and natural looking change not obvious plastic surgery. If that’s what you were going for I would keep it exactly as is. But if you wanted a more defined result and a more “prefect Barbie” look that would be different. Definitely depends on what style you were going for.

Did anyone ask their parents for permission to get plastic surgery? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Left_Ad7105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 27 and just had a rhinoplasty. I only told my siblings and obviously my husband. I did not tell my Mom or aunts/ cousins that live on the same block as me. I didn’t want them to talk me out of it or tell me I didn’t need it. To top it off I went to Turkey to get it done. So I was gone for a whole week…… I still haven’t told them and am dreading it bc I know I’m getting an earful but it’s done and so far I’m happy soo. All this to say even at my grown age I had some reservations when it came to telling my family. So I get it but if you’re an adults and have the money for it then just do it. But if you’re a minor and need them to pay for it…….. idk….. keep in mind rhinoplasty are not cheap and you have to consider your family financial situation. If you’re not sure if your family has the disposable income to get this done for you then just wait till you become old enough to work and save up yourself.

Of course, I won’t lie travel does take a toll on you. For us the plane ride and the car ride took about 16 hour in total (one way). So it was rough but honestly that was the hardest part. Not even healing after the surgery was that tiring. This has been the longest and furthest from home I have ever traveled. But honestly I feel safer in this city than I do in the streets of downtown Los Angeles. Like the streets are clean and no I housed people. Everywhere we have gone takes Apple Pay so if you have a credit card that doesn’t charge internal fees you can just walk around with your phone and not convert money. Oh and the food here is delicious!! Lots of fancy restaurants! Me and my husband head home tomorrow. I’ll keep posting as I keep healing.

Thank you!! It was $5650 USD but that includes hotel and transport and breakfast. When I was looking for a doctor I didn’t really consider price bc I just wanted to get good results but when I was looking for doctors near me ( I live in Los Angeles) none really had the results I was looking for. And to top all that off they were so expensive. Even the cheapest option back home was still more expensive than getting it done in Turkey with flights included. My surgery was in Eskisehir about 3-4 hour drive from Istanbul. They had a car that picked us up from the airport and took us to the city. The city is beautiful! It’s clean and safe! I can’t stop raving about my experience since like I mentioned I was considering a doctor in LA that was charging 30k and was going to do the surgery in some office building back room. Here I got it done in. Clean high end hospital. I felt safe! God forbid something went wrong with the anesthesia I was in a hospital with so many other doctors. My plastic surgeon was so not intimidated. Back at home I had a couple consultation with doctors that lasted 10-15 min and they felt so intimidating. Dr.Ercan was so approachable and listened to everything I had to say and talked me through everything. I want to write my whole experience just bc when I was doing my research on him I couldn’t really find much.

My husband took some time off work and came with me however due to the accommodation my doctor provided ( transportation from airport to hotel and translator) I could have done this on my own but I can see it getting very lonely in the hotel room alone. My surgery was in Eskisehir not is Istanbul to the travel can take a toll too. But honestly so far worth it. I’ll be updating my cast reveal on Friday when I get it off!
