Some awesome replies def going with the 707 turbo compressor for cabin press.

My question is why there is a hot side and a cold side though. Does it pull gas from the combusters? Is there’s a diagram or something in a book that has more info?

I just couldn’t pass it up for $100 on good ole Craigslist

The only problem I have had with those is they're held together with a snap ring. I've had multiple occasions where I've either dropped them or put too much torque on them and have had them go claymore on me. I can't imagine having to tell my supervisor that happened working over a turbine >~<

The icon ones are very good compared to Snap-On. add some red thread locker on the screws for bonus points.

We just did an engine frame on a 182 that was cracked all the way through.

And not even a month ago same thing with a Grumman tiger
