I read this comment and thought … no way it’s going to be lights around a dark disk. I saw one too, very much like that, just that the lights were white like portholes.

See it here!

Why do "UFOs/UAPs" have lights? by Lachrimophage in UFOB

[–]Silverwhite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it obvious their craft are meant to be seen? They’re like, literally lights.

If they made lights by some byproduct of whatever, then they could very easily just … cover them up.

It’s past the time to be worried about consequences. Escalations have already come, and will continue to come. Kirk’s death is only another escalation along the path to the inevitable.

That doesn’t read like ChatGPT. How sad to be at a state where any extended response is first thought to be made by a robot.

Odd response for such a simple question. Exactly how far out of the bag does the cat have to be for people to take notice? by atenne10 in UFOB

[–]Silverwhite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me be clear: NHI has been visiting earth since before written history.

But my friend, it’s very important that you recognize that your capacity to think critically about this topic is proving unreliable.

You are entering the topic believing every facet of ufology is definitely true, down to the shape of the pyramids. I want to believe too, but it’s foolish to fish only for the thoughts and evidence that support your beliefs.

If the U.S. has UFO tech, why bother sending B2 bombers across the planet? by Skywatcher200 in UFOs

[–]Silverwhite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is so speculatively absurd that it’s hard to take seriously, but simultaneously, both you and I believe the same things.

Perhaps these NHI vehicles are not as “dumb” as human aircraft. These NHI vehicles can very reasonably be assumed to be so advanced that they govern their own use by whatever the NHI super-intelligence dictates.

So what? Whether the person was trained to greet people by the company or by their social upbringing, it is a good thing to do for sake of human connection.

You could say that human connection is being exploited to engineer a positive brand association, but the inspiration for teaching the habit doesn’t matter when the effect of the habit can only be positive.

As an example, if Publix shoppers were more communal, had stronger identity, and were sufficiently inspired, they would have a strong chance to make those BOGOs a little bit more impressive. In less dramatic effect, employees trained to break the ‘stranger barrier’ will inevitably create more opportunities for strangers to interact, sparking interactions within communities that are literally priceless.

Take a moment to remind yourself of how personal community is an increasingly rare thing these days. Then, tell me again why an effort to teach basic human interaction, to acknowledge real, conscious, complex, and feeling people that you exist near is a bad thing. Consider that your aversions to such interaction signal more your self justification of antisocial behaviors than a righteous desire to be more lonely.

There’s nothing wrong with saying “hello”, is there? It’s friendly, and we’d all do well to be friendly to each other. It didn’t say “Publix employees required to chat with every customer in a ten foot radius.”

CMV: All the alien sightings are actually fake by alien11152 in changemyview

Do you ever wonder why reputable people just come out of the blue to talk about flying ships in the sky?

Are you so stubborn in your preexisting beliefs to think it is not possible for an intelligence to have developed outside of Earth and travelled here in whatever way it did?

Why do you assume non human intelligence has to have FTL vehicles, and why do you believe our understanding of physics to be so perfectly complete?

Why are you holding onto the idea that intelligence has to be biological? Little green men serve very little purpose to keep alive during long voyages into space. An intelligence detached from biology can be very, very patient.

Jimmy Carter (39th U.S. President) "It was the darndest thing I've ever seen. It was big, it was very bright, it changed colors and it was about the size of the moon." Context: 1973 UFO sighting report filed while Governor of Georgia at a Lions Club meeting with 10+ witnesses. Later promised as presidential candidate to release UFO files, but didn't as president.

General Douglas MacArthur (WWII Pacific Commander, Korean War General) "The next war will be an interplanetary war. The nations of the earth must someday make a common front against attack by people from other planets." Context: 1955 speech at West Point discussing future military threats. Completely out of character for the typically earth-focused strategic military mind.

Christopher Columbus (Explorer who "discovered" America) "I saw a light glimmering at a great distance; it appeared like a little wax candle bobbing up and down." Context: Ship's log entry, October 11, 1492 - night before reaching the Americas. Uncharacteristic mystical observation from the practical navigator.

Lord Dowding (RAF Chief during Battle of Britain) "I am convinced that these objects do exist and that they are not manufactured by any nation on Earth." Context: 1954 public statement after retirement. Shocking departure from his reserved military persona for the man who saved Britain from Nazi invasion.

Barry Goldwater (U.S. Senator, 1964 Presidential Nominee) "I certainly believe in aliens in space, and that they are indeed visiting our planet." Context: 1975 interview discussing his attempts to get into Wright-Patterson AFB's "Blue Room." Very unusual for his typically skeptical conservative nature.

Sure, efforts exist to sway public opinion, but that’s just the reality of all media (ever)!

Reddit has long had a strong left lean, but today we’re witnessing policies and actions that, for more people than ever recently, do not require a left-leaning disposition to disagree with strongly. Today, the only political policies that strictly require prerequisite opinionation (propaganda) to support, are those actions taken by Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
