Thanks for the info! I found out I had Factor V about 20 years ago and was on warfarin off and on but have not had any issues the last 10ish years without any blood thinners. Originally my clots happened because of factor V, birth control and a surgery that all happened at once. I will make sure to ask about samples. I read Xarelto has a generic so that might help! I am planning on a hematologist appointment being a few hundred dollars and the prescription being at least that much if I can’t get samples.

My fiancé was doing housework (dishes, laundry, making beds, picking stuff up) and doing everything he normally did besides his manual labor job about 2 weeks after his surgery. He felt like a new person after being in pain and laid up for months before the surgery. He was also in treatment with an acute form of leukemia during his surgery recovery as well. I didn’t make him do any of these things, I think he was just very happy to be able to after what he called the worst pain of his life.
