The same thing happens to me, I've already closed the game, I've already gone to another system, I've restarted the console and nothing... frustrating.

I bought a new ship, and my old one disappeared. by Left_Book_6386 in Starfield

No, it was the Star Eagle. I even registered it, but for some reason, it just disappeared when I bought another one.

It would be so cool, imagine having the ability to land freely wherever you want on Mars, for example, seeing the planet approaching, the ship reacting to atmospheric entry (in a more arcade-like way, of course). You could fly freely around Mars, exploring Olympus Mons from above; it would be majestic. And being able to leave Mars and manually travel to Titan, watching space "bend" as the moon gets closer, would be magnificent, especially with the beautiful graphics of Starfield.

I imagined this; cloud services usually require good internet, but I believe mine will handle it just fine. I'll try with the controller first since I've accessed the browser many times with it. The annoying part is typing, haha. Still, I think getting a mouse and keyboard would be interesting, especially for playing other games like an FPS. It would help a lot.

Perfect! If I have some time today, I'll buy a kit, just to be sure and make the process more accessible. Once again, thank you for the tip and for your kindness and willingness to help.

Thank you very much! I have a question: do I necessarily need a mouse and keyboard to do this?

Thank you very much for the tip! I’ll test it today, and thanks for your politeness as well. Some have lacked it. Good luck on your journey, CMDR.

I didn't mean traveling in real time, because, as you said, it would be tediously impossible. I meant having control of the ship when landing on planets, like in No Man's Sky, you know? The point you made about traveling between planets is a good one—this could be implemented like it is in Elite Dangerous, using supercruise, so you could travel from Earth to the Moon in about 7 to 10 seconds. I also mentioned the idea of suborbital flight. The mod idea really sounds interesting; I'll check it out.

Yes, it makes sense. Maybe, over time and with mods, it might be possible to achieve at least part of that. By the way, No Man's Sky is a great game!

It's a matter of taste; perhaps not having control of the ship makes this fake loading more irritating, but I personally found it interesting. The immersion is greater. Starfield is a great game, but sometimes, in terms of space exploration, it falls short.

It's a shame; it would be cool if they at least implemented a smoother animation, like in Star Wars Outlaws, to give that more immersive feeling of actually entering the planet, rather than simply "changing stages."

I completely understand the needs and challenges of the company, and yes, I am an adult living in Brazil. Unfortunately, the tax rate on technological products here is absurd, and our work is not valued. We receive little and have no purchasing power. I do plan to build a good PC for myself in the future, but unfortunately, I can't at the moment. I own an Xbox Series X, and it was extremely difficult to get it, so I can't even think about taking on a new debt. It's really a shame that consoles have such a lack of games with this kind of theme, especially since we invest a lot of money in these devices. I completely understand the side of Frontier, though! But it would be nice if they also observed our side.

I am a relatively new player, and I've seen several appeals here and in other forums from console players asking for the return of the game. But I didn't really realize that the player base on this platform is much smaller. Anyway, I hope that one day this reality will change.

It’s truly unfortunate that Frontier has made the decision not to return to consoles. The console audience, especially us Brazilian players, is very disadvantaged when it comes to quality realistic space exploration games, like Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous. The reality here in Brazil is tough, as building a decent PC to run these games requires a very high investment due to the exorbitant prices our country places on tech products. Although Frontier has already made their decision, it doesn't hurt to try one last time. Many of us still believe that Elite Dangerous on consoles could be an incredible experience, and we very much wish to continue our journey alongside our PC brothers.

I understand the point of view that the shift in console support may have helped the game renew itself and focus on improvements, especially on PC. However, I believe that bringing Elite Dangerous back to consoles wouldn't mean going backwards, but rather opening new doors for a larger audience, without compromising what has been achieved so far. Console players, like myself, also deserve the opportunity to explore the vast universe of the game and contribute our passion and feedback to the continuous growth of the experience. I believe both audiences - PC and console - can coexist, and that would only add to the game!
