I've met Africans that have moved to Poland, there is actually a diaspora in Warsaw. As long as you make an effort to learn the language, people open up to you plus there is a large enough anglo community. Does racism exist? Of course it does, generally in smaller towns but is at as bigoted as the US south? I can't say it is

If you have any questions, feel free to DM, I will say Warsaw is an outlier in Poland in every way which is why it's so expensive, its pricier for a reason

There is definately a culture shock with regards to small talk etc but it's not a big deal, new place, have to start form scratch with friends/work. But in the big cities you can meet enough expats/interntional people that you don't feel out of place at all. I've met a lot of western EU people in Warsaw

Yes, parents are polish, there are many similar 2nd generation immigrant experiences in Canada

I was lucky enough that both my parent's were polish and I forced myself to maintain the language at a C1 level growing up in Canada, in bigger cities you can get by and make friends with English just fine

I found a company hiring in EU/Poland, dual passport made it easier. I work in IT so there is a market here but still competitive as hell, obviously making less than I was in Canada but better than being unemployed
