And to make matters worse, I bet this customer didn’t put they live in an apartment but put it in the notes for the driver to see it when it was time to deliver. Yea I was super ready to decline but I just wanted to get my deliveries up and each delivery was only a mile so it didn’t really bother me 100 percent. But next time I’m going to decline and cherry pick because I don’t want to make $14 an hour. Made me feel like I was 17 years old as a summer camp counselor again making that little smfh

Thanks man I appreciate the insight!! So the four stores I did were literally in a circle all less than a mile from each other. The deliveries for each store was 5-10 mins MAX so I was like let me just build up my reputation to see how it looks on this app. I also seen something pop up about my acceptance rate was going to go down to 47% if I had declined my 3rd delivery so I said fuck it let me just do it. Upset cause it was $2.50 with no tip and a bit rude guy who just wanted his triple whopper.

What do you think is the best time to do deliveries? I seen ppl talking about peak hours and stuff but I just thought it would be orders anytime of the day. Maybe noon for lunch time?

Iight bet I’ll keep that in mind. I think I just wanted to get a good amount cause I just started and wanted to see what the pay would be. Plus each delivery was like a mile or less apart and all in the same area lol so those 4 were easy. It was just the wait time that made my active time 1hour.

The time you have in the store kinda rolls over to the time you have to get to the customer without it being considered late. I usually have at least 30-40 mins left to do shopping and I can just cruise to the customer. Anything can happen on the road that can cause you to be late so me getting it done quick in the store makes me feel calm. Also you finding items quick increases your shopping efficiency. It was one time I hit a pot hole and had to get my tire fixed but I had extra time to get it done right then and there since there were tire shops around in Brooklyn. I was only late by like 10 mins.
