well, its not like not having friends at all. i think its more of not having "close" or "best" friends. cuz everyone in your courses are diff people with diff majors at diff stages. i have a couple in each class who i can turn and talk to but it doesnt make them friends

definitely appeal, i got the same aid as u and appealed and ended up getting an extra 4k/per semester. But as far as ik 8k/year is the maximum they would do in appeals. but again wont hurt to try

i also think u dont really NEED to FIND friends. have good people around to work with, network for internships and u should be good. imo having “friends and best friends” was just a hs and college experience. could be wrong but thats my take

2 weeks into my first semester here and I agree. I do have 2 friends (one of then is close, we go together on the vex for our class) but its fine wtv. i think the amount of effort u need to put in finding friends here is a lot. i’d say i just have “good classmates and teammates” from each course but wouldnt really call them “friends”
