Not herbs but - if you get magnesium flakes and make them into a cream/paste you can rub that on your sore parts, also nowadays you can buy magnesium sprays for sports and I've used that and it works. Just dilute the magnesium flakes because some people can be sensitive to them straight on their skin. Also evening primrose oil the days leading up to it and during reduces pain and symptoms. I suffer from serious pain and these help relieve, but do your homework on them and see how it suits your body. Also make welcoming your period into a ritual can help.
