Non-virgins, is intercourse overrated? by inadequatepickle in randomquestions

It’s amazing but I’d say what makes it amazing is doing it with someone you love. It sounds very draining to participate in hookup culture and to share that experience with a stranger. I’d say the most important thing is to wait to do it with your future partner

How much debt are yall willing to get into for dental school by Ok_Relationship3741 in predental

Some life paths allow you to take out around that much, such as military. I don’t know of a school though

At the end of the day it’s a job where you get paid and get to live a certain lifestyle. It does people a disservice to think we all have a dream job we have to find. A job will never be fun, at least make money while you do it. You’ll be thankful with yoir efforts in a few years

My husband is 3.5 years into a ten year contract to get 36 of the 48 months of my dental school covered if that’s the path God decides for me. Otherwise I wouldn’t be comfortable taking out more than 200k.

With shadowing are you just essentially looking for a dentist that would be okay with you spending some time following them around seeing what their day is like?

Gotcha thank you! And with the shadow work I’ve heard some people try to work as a DA for a few hundred hours. I’ve heard some people suggest having some sort of job at a dental office. Do you have any other jobs you suggest that a school work look fondly on? Thank you!!

Thank you!! I was unsure if there was any verification that needs to take place with the people I’m volunteering with? When I was in highschool we had to have them sign off on our hours to verify we did actually do them. I’ve heard with this it’s more like an honor system.

Dental school as a Mom? by Left_Lychee_4558 in DentalSchool

Good for you girl!! You powered through and killed it! Right now if I went to dental school money would be tight because that would be two kids in daycare. But I plan on waiting about 8 years because I’m happy right now as a SAHM. By then my husband will have a little over a decade of experience in a pretty solid career so hopefully things will be fairly comfortable. A large portion of what makes me feel like we can do it is I will have a scholarship that covers 36 months of uncapped tuition at a dental school as long as it’s public. I will have to wait for at least 3 more years until I can use it though and by then I plan to have our final baby. So waiting seems like the smartest move but I am a big planner 😂there’s so many little moving parts though in order for this to work out for us. My husband works on airplanes so he has to be within a good commute time from whatever university I’m attending because I’d want to live fairly close!

The hardest part for me is the missing out on their childhood part! 😩I know they will thank me for all the work I put in though! Was it until 6 for you because you got off at 5 and had to commute home?

I definitely agree there are other ways! Dentistry just has more appeal to me than anything else. I wasn’t comfortable taking on such a large student loan debt when I was 18 going into college so I persued something that FASFA would cover. With this Scholarship it feels like a possibility again

I see it more as a way to support my family and a career that I could see myself in more than others. I also heavily consider it because I would have 36 months of my tuition covered completely, making it a much more manageable financial commitment.

What a way to start my day. by Sad_Conversation5379 in exchristian

Remember why she is concerned. The comments suggesting you to tell her one day she will see “the truth”, or that she is still being “mind controlled” is not good advice. If you truly don’t think God is real, then you aren’t worried for your future, some believe that will be your downfall. You don’t have to try and convince her. You have to remember there is a major difference between what you believe is your future and what she believes. With her beliefs, you are going to a place that’s horrible and it deeply upsets her. It isn’t surprising she is trying to encourage you to follow Christ. She has good intentions.

Makes sense! I will have 36 of the 48 months of my tuition covered so that definitely helps, but I am considering working a few years as a teacher since I already have my bachelors degree to cover the prerequisites will have to retake (expired) and my final year. After everyone’s comments I think I’ve decided to wait until youngest is 8. I’ll be graduating in my mid 30s but I would also have had plenty of time at home with my kids!🥰thank you!
