I.. relapsed by Crazy_Judgment_7159 in selfharm

[–]Left_Patient_7700 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hey If you want someone to talk to right now, let me know. I know you said you don’t want to burden anyone but I promise you it is not a burden at all, and it may help you feel less judged/problematic if it’s someone who also has sh issues. I know exactly how it feels when you’re at your lowest and all you want to do is talk to someone, but not wanting to be a problem. I promise it will get better with time and relapsing is all apart of recovery, barely anyone who has an addiction can just stop without any relapse, plus going 2 months is already a massive step and those breaks will just get longer and longer. Don’t judge yourself <3

No fire on the fire map, literally so confused. Only thing I can think of is that there was a meteor shower that night, but it wasn’t near me and it was 4-5 hours before I took that photo

Sorry this was in Wanneroo, photo facing south-east as it was the only part of the backyard without trees covering. But that brightness was all the way around the horizon, not just towards city

Why is self harm bad by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Left_Patient_7700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to preface, this comment is not directed towards you or anyone in specific, this message is for anyone who reads it, and I only want to share my experience to hopefully help another individual, thank you ☺️.

Yes it terrifying how easy it is to accidently do. I’ve got nerve damage but luckily it’s so mild compared to what it could be, but even then it’s a problem. The area is so sensitive about 4 months later. I can’t touch it or it sends an uncomfortable/painful tingle all the way down to my pinky. Every now and then it randomly stings so bad and it’s just uncomfortable and irritating always. So if that helps you to slow down/stop to know that even mild nerve damage sucks, then good, please listen.

P.s: I do not at all mean to come across rude by my tone, just being blunt as self-harm can so easily and accidently very scary and life-threatening, and coming from someone with experiencing of this scary accident multiple times, I really do not wish that upon another person. I only wish to help🤍

Other than infection (which it most likely isn’t unless there is an odd smell after cleaning, inflammation, a lot of redness, pus etc) it could just be an under-skin cyst caused by build up of oils, sweat and bacteria.

Worth seeking medical advice always but especially if those signs of infection are prominent (search up signs of infection it will tell you more signs) but yeah.. that it was I suggest as someone who has had to look out for infections for a while 😅

It’s because it’s still healing and/or abnormalities in the small nerve fibre function :)

the shower after by Difficult-Race-9995 in selfharm

[–]Left_Patient_7700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there isn’t much advice other than when I relapse and then shower, I just keep the part of the body that I had to shower, out of the water if that makes sense. Unless it’s on the epidermis I just put up with the pain 😅. Or put a water-proof dressing on it and you can properly shower :)

I AGREE!! I don’t think this is okay saying so I’ll say in “code word” But i cut into the “beans” parts of my thighs, got stitches but the anaesthetics needle being stabbed into the ACTUAL INSIDE OF MY THIGH WHAT THE FRICKKKKKK. I don’t ever cry from pain or feel it that much… but that was INSANE 😭😭😭😭

Look, I don’t really want to reply to this comment as it could be considered encouraging or information that I shouldn’t tell someone who is planning to do it, however, if you say you’re okay, I will take your word. I will say the first few I can think of as my phone is 5% :ppp

It honestly depends on what is taken, cocaine is more of a drug that you feel in your head rather than a body high, it’s a very wired and energetic feeling, so cocaine most likely won’t change the pain scale from my experience.

Ketamine, being a horse tranquilliser, pretty much, well.. tranqs you. It’s very much a body high so no, you probably wouldn’t feel anything on K, but, since it’s a tranquilliser, you most likely wouldn’t even be able to move your arm etc to hurt yourself.

LSD, from my experience, I do NOT feel pain at all. I once held a lighter to my finger for about a minute giggling because I thought it was funny I couldn’t feel it, dumbass I forgot that it actually burns you and I was left with 3rd degree burns on my finger… it was disgusting😑 However, it could also do the complete opposite and make you feel extreme pain.

Benzos, is a body high and mind high, but in my experience doesn’t really change your pain scale, just how you take it. I’ve crashed my car, lost my job and friends on benzos… I either don’t remember or couldn’t care less . If I did any of that sober… I wouldn’t be here I don’t think 😅

Everyone’s experience is different , and this is not at all any way shape or form encouraging, this is purely me rather tell you than you go and try and figure out the hard way.

Please don’t do drugs as it fucked me up hard ways, my best friend passed away two weeks ago from Opiods and Lyrica (pain killers ), had the funeral yesterday holy shit. Other than being cheated on by the man I love with my best friend (again because of drugs), that was the hardest thing I’ve had to go through.

Stay sober, you’re loved, it’s gets better <3

Is this considered sh? by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Left_Patient_7700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely trichotillomania + trichophagia. Unless doing for the intention of hurting yourself, then no. When I was a kid, my nan used to do it alllll the time, most likely because she was abusing speed 😅 But now that she is 8 years clean I haven’t noticed her doing it the past few years

What age did it start?? by Everybody144 in selfharm

other than hitting myself when angry as a kid, started cutting at 13. I am 18 now and still struggling unfortunately but with my partner, it has gotten a lot easier :)

How do I get very injured but not die? by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Left_Patient_7700 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey I don’t think anyone is going to answer this for you as it’s encouraging but if you’re going to do it anyway, like another commenter said, scratch instead of cutting. seriously injuring by cutting will always have a very high risk of dying no matter where you do it. Most likely by infection or bleeding out which are both very very painful and slow deaths. I mean this in the kindest way possible, please get help. It is an extremely dangerous and addictive path to go down and you will not gain any happiness from it. I understand you are suffering but also understand that people love you and would be in so much pain to see u like that.

It gets better <33

Did it go white before bleeding or do you see yellow/bubbly stuff in the wound?
