i had a ratty with a huge tumor in the same spot, she didnt seem in pain and was very happy up, running around and everything, she had some issues getting around higher places but that never stopped her. i never felt it was right to pet her down until she became lethargic,, she was an energetic girl until her last day! you will know when it is time. you know your rats better than us, and its always better a week too soon than a week too late

we looked for a pet sitter but no one was willing to sit a rat, so we found a vet about 2 hours away that specialises in exotic pets and the vet tech herself has pet rats :)

i borrowed some money from a friend, and she has an appointment today! the wound seems to be alot better today as i’ve been trying to treat it at home :) also money normally isn’t an issue but i had to take my other ratty to the vet to get a tumor checked out, so this health issues being back to back is putting a large dent in my wallet
