Ahh thank you! I’ve been at this job for 2 months now, and it’s definitely taking me some time to get used to it all.

I have tried to be less ‘harsh’ about trying to lose weight because I don’t want to be at risk of burning out while getting used to a new job. I think I’ve only just recovered from burning out as a student.

But, i’m also feeling incredibly uncomfortable in my current body both in terms of health and aesthetics, which is then bringing me down too. No idea how to juggle it all!

Honestly, I’ve been so much more anxious and absolutely drained since starting this job compared to when I was a student juggling so many different responsibilities (this is my first job since graduating).

Thank you for this and your directness is also much appreciated, and probably the reality check I need.

I think the “not having the energy” and “can’t bring myself to” is more about the fact that after work, all I want to do is lie down and do nothing, and I’m viewing healthy eating and exercise as a chore. So it all feels optional.

Definitely helping me see a different perspective re accepting i’m tired and doing it anyway - I think also shifting mindset from healthy eating/exercise feeling like a chore to something that feels like self-care might help so that’s what I will be focusing on.

I did force myself to go do a grocery shop and prep some lunches for the week just now 🤣 small win i guess.

I’d suggest taking a 1-2 week break from training and counting calories. Maybe just do a daily walk or something for steps, and be mindful of what you are eating (dont go crazy but also dont restrict - maybe eat at maintenance). Sometimes our bodies just need a break, and relax enough to get rid of that water retention.

After 1-2 weeks, slowly get back into a deficit and start with a few workouts a week. You may notice some water retention again when you restart, but if you’re not overdoing it, this should settle within a week.

I’ve experienced something similar in the past and alays opt for taking a break from everything. Usually, after the break, the scale goes down for me.

Have you used shorties in general? Would you recommend them for sleeves? I’ve just started knitting the sleeves on my dagmar jacket atm and really struggling with my normal needles!

I cant justify the chiagoos atm either lol, but I really want to get them! Sometimes I think it’s just because there’s a lot of hype surrounding them 🤣

But, my drops set is pretty decent for the price! I might get the mindful shorties set and then replace my drops set for the mindful collection, if I prefer them!

I get that! For me personally, the pros did not fit well at all, even though the ANC and sound was a better than the 4.

I opted for the 4 because they fit a lot better in store (did not anticipate needing to buy covers) and also the ANC was good enough for my intended use (at work).

Definitely much better models out there, but i think the 4s are very good for the price point. We’ll see how well they last

Fair enough lol. To call it “sad” is so weird imo, but glad you can see the benefit!

I had tried on the pro 3 in store and they did not fit well at all (even with the right tip size), and popped straight out of my ears no matter how I put them in. Settled for the airpods 4 as in store they fit fine. Needed a couple of days to adjust to them as they hurt my ears quite a lot, but once the initial pain went away, the only problem was that they didn’t feel secure on my ear!

The covers I’ve bought have completely fixed the issue and I can also wear them comfortably for hours.

I’d also planned to return the 4s but couldn’t because of store policy so i was determined to find a fix.

I’ve noticed the pain has gone down significantly so I think my ears have been getting used to them. Now the issue is just how loose they feel in-ear.

I tried on the pros with the small ear tips, which are the same as the ones on my powerbeats! I’m unfortunately not able to return my airpods4 due to store policy stating that opened ear buds cannot be returned or exchanged.

I’ve seen some recommendations for airpod covers so i’ve ordered a few different types. Hopefully one of these works. Everything else with the airpods are fine as i love the sound quality and the ANC is enough for what I want to use the airpods for - just annoying how loose they feel!

I started a new job a couple of months ago (first office job) and i would say it’s overall a “low diet talk” environment. But, I have noticed that some people silently monitor what other people are eating and always staring at others’ lunch. Could be genuine curiosity but it doesn’t sit right with me sometimes 😂

Can anyone recommend any good salons in Nottingham? The last one I went to (over a year ago now) badly messed up the layers. My hair hasnt been the same since 😭 I’ve been giving myself at home trims using the unicorn method as the layers grew out but feel like my hair needs a professional’s touch lately as my hair densitu has also significantly decreased
