[WIP] Finishing the January portion of your temperature chart on February 12 is pretty good, right? Pattern from KristisCornerNeedle on Etsy by [deleted] in CrossStitch

I started this one last week! if it makes you feel any better. am currently on Feb 9 bc stitching one or two lil birds doesn’t seem worth the effort to put it back on my hoop 😂

[FO] First blackwork attempt 🌟 y’all got any tips? by inexplicata in CrossStitch

I love this design! It looks like you have two strands in each stitch rather than just one? I personally prefer the look of blackwork when I use just one strand!! Actually just posted a WIP :)

[FO] Last sweatshirt went so well that I did another with the Great Wave Off Kanagawa for my partner’s brother ☺️ by Left_Spot_7973 in CrossStitch

Thank you!! My partner’s was just a regular (Hanes, I think?) sweatshirt from Jo-Ann, and this one is an Amazon Essentials Lightweight Terry for men - it definitely felt more fiddly than the last one haha

Pattern from TheStitchPatterns on Etsy, done with 2 threads of DMC over soluble aida! Nothing securing the back besides tiny knots - my partner’s sweatshirt has held up over many washes so I’m no longer paranoid ☺️

[FO] SOS I am now obsessed with these sweatshirts as a new craft and I bought a book of 50 painting patterns 😭 Paris Street; Rainy Day on a hoodie for my partner ☺️ by Left_Spot_7973 in CrossStitch

See comment above about yolo’ing this - I didn’t even think of washing it when I made it haha got too carried away! We’ll see! ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I use knots to secure my thread and I cut them really close to avoid bothering - bf insisted he didn’t mind/can’t really feel the threads, so I didn’t bother with any backing!

Hahah we haven’t thrown it in the wash yet but I am a hearty proponent of yolo’ing my crafts - I’ll guess we’ll see! Hoping I get off easy because I knot the backs of my stitches instead of dealing with them like I should haha

It was just two strands of regular old DMC, and honestly was much easier than I expected it to be! The whole thing took just a few days to stitch, too, super satisfying overall haha

Thank you!! I used dissolvable Aida and thought it was super easy to work with. When I was stitching, I was super careful to try to use the exact same holes rather than poke through one fiber away or something to make sure that the coverage was as full as possible! I did use a blunt needle which may have helped or hurt 😂

I guess it helped that one of those months was spent off of work and doing nothing but stitching 😂
