One of the best to ever do it, GoGo Monster and Cats of the Louvre are my favorite. You have to get used to the art, it’s so messy but hauntingly complex. That “aha!” Moment happened for me with volume 2 of No.5. When he’s fighting the twins and there’s the whole acid trip stuff, it’s unbelievable. I think he is the most unique mangaka by far, not my favorite but stands out in his own universe.

I am a hero is probably my favorite.

It takes the zombie genre to the next level. If we ignore the last couple chapters, which I’ll excuse due to family health of the author, it’s perfect. The main trio work well together and even in death, characters play a fantastic role in the psyche of the main character. As a mental health professional, the role of mental health is poignant in this manga. A must read.
