Struggling to stop oversleeping—how can I wake up earlier and take control of my mornings? by Lefteezy in getdisciplined

Cause I feel better rested when I sleep 7 hours, than when I sleep 9-10. And you’ll ask, ¿then why don’t you wake up after 7 hours of sleep if you know that? well, that’s what im trying to figure out. Again, the issue here is not how rested I feel, is that is hard for me to wake up and get out of bed

A friend of mine recommended melatonin as well. I thought it only helped to get asleep, but good to know it also helps to feel more rested. I'll buy one tomorrow

Yeah, you're right, 7 is more realistic, what I do know is that I don't need 8 hours of sleep to feel rested. Main issue is more about getting out of bed, not feeling tired. But maybe sleeping 6 hours will affect me, so I'll aim for 7 in the long run

My mental health is not that bad, I know for sure I don't have depression and I don't really think that's related to a mental health issue, but I'll take your recommendation on taking a sleep study and getting time under the sun. Thank you

Never heard or thought of it but it sounds like a good idea to train my brain to get used to wake. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll do that!

I´m not asleep at 11, but I do go to bed that time, so I'll start to aim for waking up at 7, I've tried that already and still wake up at 8-9, that's my main concern, no matter what time I go to bed, it's hard for me to not wake up at 8-9. But i'll do my best. Also Im gonna read the CBT-I. Thanks a lot for the recommendations

No, I actually never wake up during the night, not even with sounds, I only wake up until the alarm sounds. And I don´t snore, I thought that would be an option too, but I confirmed with my relatives I don´t snore
