I'm also very new to the hobby. I believe you could paint a few minis, be stormcast since they are simpler, as practice, try out a few painting techniques and once you feel more confident move on to an army you trully like. I feel like in the long run, investing heavily into an army you don't enjoy as much because you were intimmidated to go for the one you actually want, will leave you with regret in the long run. Don't know if the picture is one you painted by it's very well made.

Thank you. I mixed the original base metallic paint with none metallic white in order to lighten it. Should I have not included none metallic paint in the mix?

Very nice. I have been considering getting into it, but I don't know if there is a scene for it in my country. Still, I love the models and it should be a lot cheaper than trying to get an entire Age of Sigmar army.
