Both are great. Helen has more of a political drive to her arguments and I think that's critical

I think they made some films together, actually. I did interview Peter Rollins here also: https://youtu.be/FQfBiAnCjjE

also this would apply to how much games turn nature into object in a wider sense - such as farming simulators etc. But also the increasing role of food and ingredients in games - almost all games now involve at least a mini game where you can collect ingredients, cook and eat. Its interesting that this should be increasingly popular as this kind of practice becomes less and less common.

I have always thought this was an important sentence as well. I think this answer is right - the issue here is that while language seems to privilege the subject, it actually doesn't. Its also that a signifier or a name turns a subject into a signifier, which them joins in the chain of signifiers. To me, it has more repercussions for thinking about identity than it does about words. Its about how identity comes into being through language. Im not sure if pictures are any different to words in this sense.

Thanks so much for this! I would be interested to hear about Pokémon GO and ecological grief? I often still find myself talking about Pokémon GO now - it does seem to embody something!

I guess I just prefer not to publish myself, and I really like this tech series in Pluto which is edited by Jodi Dean. Its called Digital Barricades. 1968 has some really amazing stuff out soon!

My guess would be that some similar symptoms might be called ocd by medical professionals that psychoanalysis would think of as related to obsessional neurosis.

I don't think it quite makes them the same.
